Year 4 – Week 16 – Day 7

It has been a busy week and it has been strange not doing a blog. Without it, I can’t even keep the days straight!

Tuesday, we had to hang around and wait for the oxygen refill, but then we went to the IDEA museum for a few hours. The boys loved it, I will have to take pictures next time we go!

Wednesday, Brendan had an evaluation for his therapies. He has been approved again for individual services in speech and feeding therapy so they had to do a thorough test on him to see where his development is. That will help them to choose the right therapist to work with him and to help set proper goals.
He was a real ace for his test. He was cooperative and loved answering the questions. In many areas, Brendan is advanced for his age. Obviously his speech is behind, but his little brain is working hard behind the quiet exterior. I have to take some new videos to show his latest skills.

Today, we did something crazy. I took the boys to a Valentines Day party with the moms’ group. There were 22 children aged 4 and under! We spent yesterday making Valentines for the card exchange and we spent 3.5 hours at the party! I couldn’t pull the boys away!

Trevor’s favorite place to play was the sand table.

This house had pretty cool toys inside too!

Then back inside! It was hard to keep the boys together so I could keep track of them

Trevor delivered our valentine cards into the goody bags. Their bags were stuffed full of cool treats, sweets, and toys.

The host’s boy had a complete Paw Patrol collection. Brendan was thrilled to bits.

Trevor wanted to be outside and bounced until he fell over

Don’t you hate it when someone else wears the same outfit to a party? It is bad enough that your twin does it!!

Brendan doesn’t care!

The boys have a couple of friends in this group now that they liked seeing again. They most definitely did not want to go home! I expected them to be exhausted, but they played the rest of the day. The only one that wanted a nap is me!

  1. The boys party shirts are so cute, and how funny that another little boy had the same shirt!! 🙂 It sure looks like everyone had fun.
There’s never been a doubt in my mind that there’s nothing wrong with Brendan’s brain! His little wheels are turning all the time, and he’s full of surprises. Great-Grandma always would say after she would see the blog, “That little boy is going to do something great in life, and I wish I would be around to see what that is”.
You have two very special and smart little boys.
It’s always nice to see them getting to go to parties and play with the other kids.
    Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow!!
Lots of extra love and hugs!!!!

  3. I love those shirts! Such classy boys for their party. It’s awesome that you have such a nice group of moms and kids around!

  4. I thought it was bright here today, with the sun reflecting off all the snow.
The smile on Brendan’s face, is brighter than all that !! 😮 🙂 🙂 😉
