Year 4 – Week 23 – Day 5

It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to my uncle, Robert, who passed away today after a struggle with aortic stenosis leading to heart failure. Our sympathy goes out to those closest to him, especially Letty and Rich.

The boys and I met some friends at the zoo today to celebrate their spring break. It was in the low 90’s today, but the zoo was still a nice outing.

Bill was even able to step away from work for a few hours to join us!

Brendan convinced Josh to carry him around all over the zoo, so they became good buddies.

  1. It’s never easy to say goodbye and let go of those we love. My heart goes out to Letty, Rich, and our East Coast family. Sending you all big hugs and love. Condolences to Pete, too.

It’s so nice that you had a good day at the zoo with friends. We are just now feeling Spring in the air and it was 72 degrees today. With the extreme roadwork on our street, we couldn’t open up the windows!
Lots of love, I miss you all!

  2. First, Thank you Cindy for the Condolences. It is always difficult to accept the loss of a family member…. more so for a close one, like a parent, or a Brother, or a Sister. I know I will shed a “few” more tears before all is done.

The blogs, now, are a blessing to have, and to be able to see those living so far away, grow, and live, and be the wondrous people they are.

Was it Fate, that I chose to go to the VA for a complete physical, at the time I did?
Sure feels that way right now. I have two appointments on Monday ( 4/6/15 ), and another on Wednesday ( 4/8/15 ) – – – – so far, so good. Nothing major found. One of Monday’s visits, will be to the Optometry department…….. Street name signs are becoming difficult to see..

  3. Good afternoon from the East Coast!! Thank you for your amazing tribute!! just love your picture of Uncle Robert!! What a fun day at the zoo!! Family is the best!!! Prayers, hugs and love!!!! 🙂
