Year 4 – Week 25 – Day 1
It has been a long week with no posts! I had a major technical failure with my laptop and I am finally back up and running enough to get a blog done.
Thanks in part to HopeKids, today the boys got to do the county fair!

Brendan wanted to ride the rides, but would panic at the last moment and want out. Trevor was serious about driving

Trevor rode his first roller coaster! Brendan also insisted “My turn first!!”, but then he watched Trevor ride and decided he did not want to go.

Year 4 – Week 24 – Day 1
Yesterday, all three of the boys got haircuts. Bribed with Legos, Brendan let me cut his hair with the clippers and even use the little trimmer on his neck line!

This is Brendan’s chimp pose. He likes to play this way.

He is saying, “Mommy, no camera!!”

His methods may be a bit unusual…

Trevor’s doo-wop/metal fusion singing. His tune is catchy.
This is made of cute.
The boys were up EARLY this morning. They were ready to go somewhere!

Brendan and Trevor went to a farm, E-I-E-I-O
We went to our usual farm festival place for the “Easter Egg Extravaganza” with egg hunt. I had no intention of being involved in the egg madness, but thought it would be fun to spectate.
The bonus was that everyone in attendance was lined up on the starting line for the egg hunt, so we had the rest of the place to ourselves. The boys were able to spend some time in the bouncy house all alone and not get clobbered by older kids.
The turkeys and roosters were gobbling and crowing constantly at the masses of people. The boys thought it was hilarious.
I am ashamed of the human race now that I have watched an egg hunt in person. It was seriously all done in about 15 seconds. Trampling, crying, hoarding, pushing.. so sad.
We stayed out of it and watched. A very nice employee came up to us and asked if we were OK and did we get any eggs. He gave the boys a bag full so that they weren’t left out.

The rubber duck race has always been a favorite

What’s going to work? Teamwork!

Easter bunny photos? Not a chance!! Trevor gave him a fist bump and then hid behind the stroller.

I couldn’t get them out of the bouncy house.

Easter bunny is on a potty break, so we could take some pictures
