Year 4 – Week 29 – Day 7

I have a few major things to update, but I am too tired to type much!

I found these cute little cheap dress-up helmets that look just like Brendan’s Lego guys. He was in love. He even wore his helmet into Sam’s Club.

Thursday night, Brendan had his sleep study. He was actually excited to go to the hospital and was having fun until they started to hook him up. It helps that I found him these cute new owl toys to bring with him.

Brendan is still not 100% after his little cold, but he made it through the seven hour study with no oxygen needed to keep sats. He had a rough night of sleep and some extra work with breathing. I nervously await the results.

We have a big change coming this week. Our nursing hours are reduced from 5 nights a week down to 2 nights a week. It is going to be a big challenge to work out our new routine.

  1. Cute play helmets! Now Brendan and Trevor can be robots…or spacemen! 🙂
I hope you get all good results from the sleep study. I couldn’t sleep with all those wires attached to me! Brendan was brave, and you must be really tired tonight.
It was nice to talk to you and the boys today. I think I’m just about at the longest period of time since the boys were born since I’ve seen them. I miss you all! I wish there weren’t so many things going on here that keep me from coming right now.
Fingers and toes crossed for test results!
Lots of love and big hugs,

  2. 😉 ” cute new owl toys ” 🙂 🙂
Good friends to have when you’re feeling a bit “Owly”.
For a moment there I thought the “Empire’s Storm Troopers” had arrived.

Reading about Brendan’s progress each morning is the greatest way to start the day.

  3. Way to go Brendan! No oxygen needed even with recovering from a cold! That should hopefully translate to good results. The helmets are cute, especially as an accessory to the rocket shirt. We’re keeping our fingers crosses that good news comes soon!

  4. Good morning from the East Coast!! Yay Brendan keeping all those wires on!! I would have had them yanked in a micro-second!! Surely hoping that the study went well!?!? The helmets are adorable!! You have your own little space adventurers!! Sending prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂
