I haven’t had much to write about all week, it seems like we do a lot of the same things over and over. Trevor has been doing well in school. Brendan started with a new PT and that is going well.
We spend a lot of time at the aquarium. I stopped bringing my camera, so of course the octopus comes out for the first time all summer and is crawling like crazy all over the glass. I really need to get a better cell phone. 🙂

Brendan had a follow up appointment with his pulmonologist. She is happy to see that he is active and happy, but he is still not back to pre-op condition. So her opinion is still firmly against taking the trach out now, she wants to wait until next summer. But we will see what happens with his next surgery.
Brendan waiting for the doctor:
We do have surgery at 7:30am Monday morning, the doctor plans to go in and remove that cartilage and explore what is going on in Brendan’s airway. He will be able to tell us more after he sees inside.
Brendan is getting to be a big boy with the “I DO IT!!” attitude. He has done an amazing job with potty training; I think we bought our last box of diapers! He wants to do the buckles himself in his carseat. He even thinks he can suction himself.

We went out to dinner last night. We don’t get out often, but when we do it seems to always be BJ’s Brewery. (The boys call it “the beer factory”) Trevor loves their “meatballs and pasketti” and their homemade rootbeer!
Brendan is waiting for his drink

Outside the restaurant is a splash pad. I took too many pictures, but couldn’t pick my favorite.

Cute pictures of the boys on the splash pad. 🙂 It’s nice you had a dinner out. Looks like fun!
I hope Brendan’s procedure will go well on Monday, and that they will decide he will do fine without his trach. Whatever happens, his safety is the most important thing, but it would be easier for him and you without it.
I love hearing Brendan sing and talk. He’s so silly! Trevor was sharing his root beer nicely.
I’m glad to hear he likes his school.
Lots of love and hugs,
Gramma
Great pics….Geez I wish I knew you were so close I could have come over to see you. I only live 2.5 miles from the beer factory. Tracey Valenzuela and I always go there for birthday celebrations. Can’t believe they are on top of another birthday….You and Bill are super parents!
Good morning from the East Coast!! Thank you for this delightful post!! Yay Brendan becoming so independent!! Yay Trevor, having fun in pre-school!!! I sure wish that we had a splash park outside of our mall!! The boys are having way too much fun!! Cannot possibly put all the good luck, good juju, love, hugs and prayers in this reply, for Brendan’s procedure on Monday!! We will be thinking of all of you!!! (((Hugs))) 🙂
