Year 8 – Week 30 – Day 3

I thought it would just be a normal day to take the boys to the science center with their friend Graham, but we happened to go on a day that they were doing this huge STEM/Maker fair. They had all different tables set up with crafts and science games that the kids could get their hands on.

Brendan got to turn his art in to his own laminated button pin

We spent a LOT of time making aircraft to fly in this big wind tunnel

There were stations to build with Kinex

And a Lego machine where you could battle your friend

There was a station with real clay where the kids could add their work to a large community piece of art

This giant knitting loom was called “A-Loom-a-Knotty”. It was actually a really cool contraption that could be adjusted for many different kinds of knitting projects.

The science center had recently hosted a sandcastle/sand sculpting competition. They piled up all of the leftover sand into a beach play area for the kids.

We only spent a little time in the rest of the regular museum. These chairs are popular.

The noodle forest is a toddler parent’s worst nightmare. There are many ways to get out of this area.

Brendan is getting a little big for the pickle car

All of the boys piled on one poor trike.

There is a brand new Mod Pizza less than a mile from our house so we had to try it. Kind of pricey but a cool place to go. It is like Subway but for pizza.
