Year 8 – Week 36 – Day 1

When it is 110 degrees, I am so grateful that we can now spend hours in the pool. And we did… nearly four hours. I have two little fish for boys. I got a chance to play more with my new waterproof camera. I took hundreds of pictures. It was hard to narrow it down to ones I liked best, so I am posting a ton!

We were invited to go to this aquatic center because they installed a “Flowrider” surfing simulator and our friends were eager to try it. Trevor was nervous, but he rode the waves pretty well!

The zero-edge pool with the dumper-buckets was probably the favorite part though.

There was a nice splash pad too

Brendan’s friend Graham waits for the splash

Trevor is leaping off of the springboard in to 13ft deep water with no life jacket. My nerves!! He is doing so well!

He went on the Flowrider again! Twice was enough though. He saw a lot of people wiping out hard and he was a afraid.

Graham’s brother Dan was the one that was eager to check out the Flowrider. He and his friend rode over and over the whole hour they were allowed.

Trevor was back to the buckets where he liked it best

Handstands

Fun with refraction

Brendan demonstrating his backfloat. I made him take the jacket off and show me again.

More handstands

Trevor is not a fan of opening his eyes underwater without goggles. I got him to look once!

Selfie!

Trevor’s face says it all

Floating Trevor

Sarah dared Dan to jump off the high dive, with a prize of an extra 20 minutes of staying up past bedtime. He proceeded to jump about 8 more times..

The sunscreen was wearing off and I had to force the boys out of the pool!

Year 8 – Week 35 – Day 4

Another catch up post for the month is ahead!

The boys started taking swimming lessons. The pool here is amazing.

Even a water slide!

It is a small class and they are pretty comfortable so far.

We checked out another really fun place called Uptown Jungle. How can you not like a place with foam ball canons?

This was the favorite favorite though. They must have gone down this slide 834 times.

They had a good selection of climbing walls.

Brendan just wanted to slide. Again.

Funny swings were fun too.

Time to practice swimming skills and cool off

Gummy bear in the pool, oh no

Lunch in the lunch spot

Taking in a summer movie

Now that Brendan is a master builder, he wanted to take on an old large set again

Brendan’s latest personal creation is Flowey from the game Undertale.

Year 8 – Week 34 – Day 4

Here’s another potpourri post to catch up miscellaneous adventures from the first half of June.

First of all, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!! Happy day to Bill and all the other dads out there that do their best every day. We served up a dinner at home to celebrate!

I have a few pictures from a visit to Odysea.

One of the rare times that the octopus was out of the cave system so you could see it. It was very active, very cool!

Creeping around LegoLand!

Trying out a new VR Lego ride

Helping with groceries

Silly hair!

Playing with costumes

This boy is being too cute
