Year 3 – Week 15 – Day 7

We missed the garbage truck today. Trevor had to bring in the can.

He walked his bike all the way to the corner and back. He is getting good at steering it too and doesn’t fall over much.

He even tried to offroad it

Brendan had his cardiology appointment today. He wasn’t exactly thrilled.

It pains me to have to hold a screaming Brendan down for 30+ minutes so that they can do an echocardiogram. He hates it! But the good news is that his heart is still looking great. The doctor says strong squeeze, no leaky valves, no fluid around heart or lungs. All good news!

Brendan won the war over the EKG. They started putting stickers and clips on and his mad leg kicking, squirming, fighting and crying was too much. They just couldn’t get more than 2 leads on at a time. Trying to get more made the others fall off. They ended up doing a very basic check to see his rhythms and the doctor was happy with that.

Nothing will change with his plan heartwise, he just has to keep getting stronger and bigger for his next surgery at 4yrs old or so. The doctor said he looked amazing.

Now, we just have to worry about what is wrong this week with Brendan throwing up again. All week, he has had problems tolerating his food and he has had a lot of big mucous vomits. He had two big throw ups just today, one while he was sleeping! It is very frustrating, I wish I knew how to help him. I don’t even know what is happening yet. We will just have to wait and see.

  1. I am so happy to hear that Brendan’s cardiologist is pleased with his check-up. That’s great news! I hope you’ll be able to figure out what’s going on with his tolerating his formula. It started with his increased amount, right? Poor Brendan. I hope he’s feeling better soon.
Trevor looks so cute in his helmet “riding” his bike. 🙂 Great-Grandma will be so happy to see him on it!
Trevor obviously has to do all the chores…bringing in the garbage can, he mows the lawn, sweeps, vacuums, uses the leaf blower, c

    • …oops…posted by mistake, I wasn’t done! He also cooks, and does dishes, sorts toys, shops….what a helper!!
And, not forget Brendan’s help…I’ve seen him trying to mow, sweep, and make muffins, too! 🙂
      Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Good morning from the East Coast!! Great News!! Go Brendan!!!! Go Mom and Dad!! All his good news is due to his amazing parents!! Love Trevor on his bike!! I had one just like it!! 🙂 Hoping that the vomiting “fixes itself” and that all goes well!! Fingers crossed!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂

  3. The physical size ratio of Trevor to the “can”, is close to that of an adult to a “refrigerator” 😮 😮 🙂 🙂 🙂
It;s good to see Trevor is learning to use the safety gear, when riding. He’ll have no problem “suiting up” to ride *his motor cycle* with his Dad, when he gets old enough.
Happy to see that Brendan is doing well, and growing stronger.
” The doctor said he looked amazing. ” Those are great words to hear !!
    Yay Brendan !! 🙂 🙂 🙂
