Year 8 – Week 40 – Day 1

Thursday’s plan was a trip to Great America but Brendan was not feeling well. He was exhausted from such a busy week. He opted to have a down day with Gizmo at home with me.

He loves to say “squirrel!!” and then watch Gizmo go nuts checking the windows and barking

Trevor got to be the center of attention all day. It was good for him!

Not sure about this…

Waiting in line with Ashley

Whirlygig has been at Great America since I was a kid

Kid coaster

He is getting close to being able to ride just about anything. For now, The Whizzer is the biggest coaster that he has been on. Every kid needs to start with the Whizzer, it is a classic!

Blue Icee!

Drop ride again, like every year!

Year 8 – Week 39 – Day 7

Wednesday was picture day! We are super sad that this could not be a complete Cousinpallooza with Shannon and her family missing. But we got a fantastic stand-in with Aunt Letty and Uncle Rich making the drive out from New Jersey!

Rhys and Caleb are so photogenic you just want to squeeeeeeze them! Handsome boys!!

Ashley and Kayla looking as beautiful as ever

Year 8 – Week 39 – Day 6

Monday we went to the Brookfield Zoo with Erin and Jules and Caleb and Rhys. Their special exhibit this week was a “Lego Safari” walkthrough area with giant Lego sculptures of animals.

First we stopped to try to feed the million parakeets.

The four boys in the Lego jeep

The animals were very cool. I didn’t take a ton of pictures though

Trevor was more interested in finding the biggest sticks

Tuesday, we took the boys to a summer special cheap movie showing of “Captain Underpants”

Wednesday, Aunt Heather and Ashley took us to a big park and playground.

We don’t have lush green like this at home!
