We had a little “surprise egg” fun with the boys this morning.

It certainly didn’t go quite like I expected, but it was still hilarious. The eggs were made of papier mache and filled with candy, stickers and treats. (luckily nothing delicate!) The rainbow egg comes from Brendan’s favorite episode of Team Umizoomi.

And of course the rest of the day was filled with Lego time.

Brendan is still doing fabulous without the ventilator. Most nights he does not even need oxygen.

We will be thinking about Uncle Robert during his heart procedure tomorrow. We all hope it brings a rapid recovery. Big hugs to the whole east coast family!

This morning we had Brendan’s quarterly checkup with the cardiologist for EKG and Echo. He was such a trooper today and cooperated to a level I haven’t seen in at least a year. I was very proud of him! They got great views with his cooperation and it was an A+ checkup again. No leaky valves, strong pump, good rhythm.

As his reward, I took him in to the “game store” where he wanted to go so badly yesterday. He couldn’t stop talking about a Lego guy with a starred helmet. So we bought a few “guys” with cool helmets for him. He picked out all the pieces.

We painted eggs for some fun this afternoon. The eggs looked awesome until the paint dried. Washable paints really stink if you want good color saturation. 🙂 They still liked the activity.

Another crazy weekend has gone by! First we were having company, then we weren’t having company, and then we ended up having lightning fast company after all!

We went to Sam’s Club to get ready for company. The boys love to go get something from the Free-osk, then tour the samples! Pound cake with berries and Ready Whip? Yum!

Look who we found!? Aunt Heather was just changing planes on her way home to Texas, but her layover in Phoenix was just long enough to pop out and give some hugs!

Today we wanted to go to the zoo. Brendan did NOT WANT sunscreen.

“No pictures!!!!!”

The zoo was ridiculously crowded so we didn’t even try to go in. We prepared to go to the zoo splash pads, so we found a playground and splash pad elsewhere.
Funny thing is, the boys didn’t want to go in the water! Trevor went in the mist a little but didn’t get wet!

They had plenty of fun on the playground.

We found this little Buy/Sell/Trade game store that has a huge bin of loose Legos for sale. I made the mistake of taking the boys in once. Brendan spent the rest of the day BEGGING to go to the game store. BEGGING every minute. “Go in car!!” “Go game STOOOOOORE”
I caved and took him. They are closed on Mondays!
