Year 8 – Week 50 – Day 4

The boys had a week off for fall break from school. So we planned a trip that Bill and I had done once before. We took the trailer to Monterey, California. We stayed at the same Moss Landing KOA RV Park where we stayed last time.

Flat tires to start the trip should not be the new norm.

After two days in the truck, we made it to the beach right as the sun was going down. Our RV park is right across this bridge from the ocean.

It was a spectacular sunset to welcome us for the week!

Trevor was not supposed to get wet. The water was cold! He was in his clothes, and we had no towels. Guess who pretty much got soaked from head to toe and then really regretted it on the walk back to the trailer. Of course, once he was warm and dry again, he said it was worth it. He LOVES the ocean.

Brendan came down to see the water in his rain jacket. He was cold and thought his brother was crazy!

Year 8 – Week 49 – Day 5

End of month collection of miscellaneous images time!

There was a laser blaster fight in the bedroom

“Take your parent to P.E.” day at school. Could it have been anything other than ropes? Even as a kid, I was NEVER able to climb up a rope. Trevor swings well.

The master builder free-building in his Lego den

Trevor thinks Gramma needs this cup for her frozen Coke Icee!

Big kid, little playhouse

We made a special trip to Odysea Aquarium to see Mighty Mike. He is a 14-foot, 800-pound American Alligator who can apparently eat an entire turkey whole. There is a thick wall of acrylic aquarium between him and the boys but it is funny that you can’t see it! The water distortion makes Mike look smaller than he really is too.

Police and Fire Rescue Lego time

It is unfortunately too late for this poor dude

For many years, I have been meeting a small group of ladies once a week for “Ladies Night” out to have dinner and knit or crochet. We had been going to this Village Inn for at least three years. Then one night with no warning- closed!
