Year 3 – Week 50 – Day 7

I really have nothing today. We tried to play outside and “hang with the ‘squitoes” but there were just too many.

The rest of the day was spent trying to think of things to do to make the time pass. Some days are just a lot more slow and frustrating than others.

Year 3 – Week 50 – Day 6

We spent more time shopping today, this time I took them to the mall. I rented one of these double-decker firetruck carts and pushed them all around, letting them down here and there to investigate and trade places.

Brendan was eating a frosty, but he ended up doing more painting with it. He got so sticky on his hands and face that they would stick together. He would press his hand on to his cheek and pull it back slowly and peel it off, over and over and over.

Do these boys seem tired? They totally were!! But neither one of them napped a wink!

Until later! …..nooooooooooooo

I tried to wake him gently, but he would just look around and flop back to sleep. He slept for about an hour and a half and woke up at five…. which would explain why he was still awake after 10PM.

But we survived another day just the three of us. Bill had to be in the office today and missed all the fun.

Year 3 – Week 50 – Day 5

Today was rough from start to finish. Two crabby toddlers were crying, resisting, defying, slapping, falling, crashing, yelling, and more.

I took them out shopping pretty much all day – not to buy anything, just to get away from the house and provide some distraction. We checked out a new dollar store which was totally unimpressive except they had these perfect little hand baskets that could also be wheeled like a cart. I would have bought a few of them for $1.
