Year 8 – Week 41 – Day 7

A very exciting day finally is here! We have ordered and accumulated parts and now we are going to build two new computers!

I haven’t put together a PC in a long time. There is a lot more emphasis put on the beauty of the parts today, and cases are made to see inside. So much for green circuit boards and rainbow IDE cables!

The trend also has lots of RBG lights. We picked only lighted case fans and Brendan helped me to install.

With everything visible, wire management is key. It took a good deal of time to get everything connected AND looking pretty.

This side will be out of view, but order is still important

Successful first boot! Brendan has orange LED fans

Trevor has red.

My Steam game tester giving it a trial run. These things are fresh and speedy!

Year 8 – Week 40 – Day 6

We came home from IL on Friday the 26th with Brendan still not feeling great.

He was later diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. He broke out in all these extremely itchy and painful blisters. The poor kid had a rough week. Trevor ended up getting it too. His feet itched so much it was maddening. Bill got a bad case with blisters on his hands. I had a very mild case too.

On a happier note, Bill got himself and early birthday present, or late father’s day gift, or maybe both.
