Year 3 – Week 2 – Day 1

Welcome to November! We had to turn on the heat in the house for the first time this year! We don’t have a giant oxygen concentrator or mist machine putting out tons of heat so the living room was getting chilly!

It was beautiful today, so Trevor got to go on an outing to the zoo. Our friend Michelle joined us for a nice walk around, it was good to have some company! We went a different way than Trevor’s “usual” route this time. He got to see the big lion. Of course the lion was looking straight at us until I lifted my camera!

He peeked at elephants

After seeing giraffes, a rhino, some warthogs, and an assortment of birds (including his favorite grackles), we ended up back in the monkey garden

He also got his first ride on a carousel, he selected the giant eagle

We thought Brendan’s Halloween shirt was appropriate to wear to the zoo

Haha, Michelle might have thought she escaped being in pictures, but we caught her in the background 🙂

Brendan took an early nap while Trevor was away. Despite letting Trevor walk all over the zoo, he took a super short nap! We tried our best to take it easy this afternoon

Naughty climbing time

Both boys were in bed by 8:15pm tonight!! Miraculous! Brendan is “Space Police” with a police onesie and outer space pajama pants.

Trevor is practicing using a blanket in bed.

We survived the first week of the terrible twos!

Year 3 – Week 1 – Day 7 – Happy Halloween!

Before it was a holiday today, it was recycle day. Guess who had to be in the back of Bill’s truck to see the truck come down the street!

He thought he was so big, and such a helper!

Right after nap time today, two little monkeys flopping on the bed

The afternoon/early evening was a bit chaotic, and I did not get a picture of Brendan in his adorable Halloween tshirt from Gramma. The shirts were so cute. It was actually cold outside this evening, so the boys had to wear their monster hoodies to stay warm. We didn’t do costumes this year, it just wasn’t worth the struggle.

Trevor made himself in charge of the candy distribution. He loved all the kids coming up to say trick-or-treat

We also handed out glow sticks. There was a very slow trickle of kids this year, it was not much of a turn out.

Brendan liked playing outside with Trevor, and they were nice to each other. They each got to go down the street to the neighbor’s haunted house too.

Trevor thought the bushes needed some glow

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween!

Year 3 – Week 1 – Day 6

Gramma had to say goodbye this morning. We are glad that she made it safely home, and we already miss her!

This afternoon, the boys and I carved their little pumpkins. They both were really interested! It was fun!
