Year 4 – Week 1 – Day 6

Thanks to a great Groupon, our family now has an annual membership to the Arizona Science Center! We decided to go redeem our voucher today and take Gramma to see the museum.

The boys liked the outdoor water play area.

They were little scientists in their play lab
401t32

401b42

They built magnetic pathways for ping pong balls
401bt38

They got to dig in dirt and water and rocks
401bt39

Trevor pet a large hissing cockroach
401bt40

Trevor held a millipede!
401t33

He actually let it crawl up his wrist without flinching or getting creeped out!
401t34

401t35

Brendan touched the millipede too, with the tip of one finger for a fraction of a second and then he was done! Other than riding in the elevators which terrifies Brendan, the boys had a really good morning. We look forward to going back there and finding new things to explore.

Trevor says goodbye to the lobby telescope.
401t36

Brendan finally caved in and let Gramma rock him for his nap. He has been so resistant! She just had to bribe him with frozen coke to get him to sit with her and then he got comfortable.

He is putting up a good fight tonight as far as going to sleep, but he is letting her rock him without struggling. He always plays hard-to-get and only breaks down toward the end of her visit!

Year 3 – Week 1 – Day 5

Today was errands and more birthday presents.
This is what happens when we go to Sams Club.

The boys really liked it.

I met this cool guy at a restaurant tonight, and then we went out to a movie. It wasn’t a dream! Thanks to Gramma and Nurse Sherry, Bill and I went out for a date to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
I was a nice getaway, and we were grateful knowing the boys were in good hands.
Happy Anniversary, Bill!
