Year 8 – Week 29 – Day 4

Happy Mother’s Day!

Trevor will find any reason to have cake. If you celebrate something without cake, he gets offended.

Thanks, Brendan, for such a flattering drawing!!! I love this.

Brendan waited ages to be able to wear his raincoat to school. (The raincoat looks like the character “Six” from a game he loves called “Little Nightmares”)

Year 8 – Week 28 – Day 4

It was time for a nice weekend getaway with friends Amber, Blake, l’il Blake, and Mason! We took them to a “usual” spot up on the Mogollon rim.

The boys could have spent the whole trip just playing on the trailer ramp!

We were just chilling in the camp when Amber looked up and said “Oh Holy S&!*!” She just saw a big moving black shadow and her first thought was that it was a bear. It crept in to camp so quietly!

Turns out it was a big black cow!!

Bill made up several of these “Swing Kits” for when we are in the forest. We loved finding the tree swing at an old camp so much. The kids had a blast on this one, and the big bent tree was the perfect place to hang it.

Campfire baked potatoes are the best!

A little fun with long exposure flashlight art!

Breakfast in the trailer with the beautiful view

Boys enjoying the trailer bunk

Mason likes it outside

Mason loves it inside!

Year 8 – Week 27 – Day 4

We got free tickets today to see a baseball game, the Cubs were in town to play the Diamondbacks. Brendan did not want to go, so Trevor and I thought it would be a fun adventure to ride the light rail downtown and go to the game.

I did not anticipate just how many people would have the same idea. We were far from the stadium and it was already standing room only on the train. We would make stops and more people would sandwich in so tight.

Trevor enjoyed a nice stadium concession.

We only stayed for 6 innings but it was a beautiful day and there were a bunch of hits and action. The game actually ended up going to FIFTEEN innings!

We had earmuffs and binoculars to make the event enjoyable.

Trevor entertaining himself while we wait for the train to go home.

Brendan was working on a new design for his brain scanner while we were gone!
