After doing some errands all morning, Trevor and I made it home just in time to get lunch and then wait for the garbage truck. I can’t even really process in my head that family to the east is getting buried in snow and subzero temperatures. Trevor ran out in just a diaper and was soaking up some of the hot sun. Putting a baby gate in the archway lets Eins come out and play too.

After nap time, Trevor and I did a bike ride to Safeway to mail some letters. We pass a big construction site where Trevor counted 2 front loaders, 3 backhoes, and then at the store, we saw 4 mail trucks.

Trevor had a great nap today and went to bed at a reasonable time with not much of a fight. To make up for it, Brendan threw an epic bedtime protest tantrum and didn’t get in bed until after 10PM.
Brendan seems to be doing better, Trevor hardly has any signs of illness, I am OK, Bill is worse tonight! This bug needs to go away!

Bill had the day off of work, so it should not have been such an exhausting Monday! We got up and hit our to-do list pretty hard and tried to just keep the boys playing. I should know better. If I don’t get them out and exercising and doing something, they don’t get tired enough to take a nap. Neither boy napped for even a minute today!

They were a handful and challenged my patience and sanity at every blink. They both are getting old enough that they will play nicely independently. But if they are in the same room, one will find something he likes and will get in to it, then the other will come and try to take it or interfere. And then the crying starts. Today, Bill worked on cutting and installing the long shelving and brackets in the playroom. Using the electric screwdriver made Trevor go nuts and have a tantrum because he wanted to use it to.
I tried to take them outside, but they kept going down the side of the trailer where they are not allowed to go. I was either hauling a screaming boy away from dangerous things or untangling Brendan’s lines all afternoon.

I got really stupid this morning and took Trevor to IKEA on a holiday Monday. The place was beyond packed! We got the brackets we needed for shelving and some light bulbs and stood in the long long lines.
Trevor was so bored, he tried to eat a paper measuring tape.

He handled it pretty well though.

I tried to distract them with something different, so they counted up a big bucket of dimes. It all looks cute and fun – it was – until the insane throwing, fighting, and crying started again!

Because of no-naps, we planned for an earlier bedtime. Brendan is still no better, no worse. I am feeling OK, Trevor is still wheezing, Bill is congested.. pretty much no change. We put Brendan in his vest for his evening treatment and the day started catching up with him. Poor baby!!!

Both boys were asleep by 8:15. I am hoping they still sleep in tomorrow!

We are coasting right now. Nobody is better or worse, just not fully well. Brendan had a bad spell when he woke up from his nap, he was just miserable and we couldn’t identify why. He recovered though and had a pretty good day. He still sounds terrible, but hopefully he will get through this without getting worse.

He thinks these mini popsicles are pretty yum. He would have eaten the whole box if I let him.

Brendan got lots of shaking time. Trevor will get very upset if he doesn’t get to help wheel the case to the end of the hall when Brendan is all done with his treatment. He loves to push “the suitcase”

Brendan tricked Bill in to starting “Brendan lifts”. He LOVES these.

He signs “again again again again again”

Bill says “Just one more time” and ends up lifting up for about 10 sets of 10 reps. I bet Bill feels that tomorrow!

If you try to stop doing Brendan Lifts, he will get up on your lap, turn around, grab your hands and try to position them on his hips, then he will sign “again again again” until you lift him up! He is hilarious and relentless. He’s a great little personal trainer!
