Year 3 – Week 12 – Day 6

It was one year ago today that we lost Grandpa Jack. He has been deeply missed and I know he would be so impressed with how far we have come. I can hardly believe it has been a year.

I don’t have much to share today. We have been going at a crazy pace lately and it all is catching up with me. I am super tired.
Here are just a few snaps from the dinner hour.
Brendan licks his tortilla chips until they bend in half from sogginess.

Trevor was so hungry, he wanted to eat the bag of frozen broccoli.

All of our loved ones get extra (virtual) hugs today. We hope we have another year of progress and happy memories.

Year 3 – Week 12 – Day 5

I can’t believe I made it through a day without getting any Brendan pictures. I took Trevor out this morning to IKEA to do some shopping. We found a little couch for in the playroom that sits perfectly in that little nook with the messed up wall so we bought it today.
Trevor helped with the cart

A trip to IKEA is not complete without a frozen yogurt after meatballs and mashed potatoes.
312t29

We did an entire lap of the upstairs gallery and then a complete walk through of the store so that Trevor could burn energy. We made it home just in time for garbage and then straight to napping.
312t30

Trevor brings the cans in. He is strong!

Brendan had speech therapy while Trevor napped. He thoroughly impressed his therapist with his new words, his new eating of pouches, and all of his interactions. He was in a very cute silly mood today.

I crossed a bunch of stuff off of the to-do list today. I got about 25% of the carpet done in the playroom, made all of Brendan’s quarterly doctor appointments, and put together a couch. We are really itching to finish this playroom now, it seems the closer it gets to being done, the more there is to do. The little details are time consuming! We are ready to use it!

Year 3 – Week 12 – Day 4

Monday is all about surviving the day, and that is what we did today. Brendan had a terrible night. He drank some milk before bedtime and it must have upset his tummy. He was awake a lot and crying. He needed to be held in order to sleep and he still would wake up and cry.
This morning, he seemed to get over it pretty quickly. He was in a pretty good mood today.
When Bill was done with work, I took Trevor to burn off some craziness. We went to a new park with a 3/4 mile trail around a lake and did a whole loop. He climbed stairs, did some hill sprints, and saw lots of ducks.

312t22

He especially like this big white duck
312t23

He loves rocks
312t24

Cooking Trevor tries to cut peppers with his pretend knife
312t25

He left the cutting to me, but he did the washing
312t26

I got Brendan a new bag of his favorite pretzels
312b07

He wanted to help cook too, so he made pasta

Since Brendan finished dinner, Trevor had to go do laundry
312t27

I didn’t get to work on any projects today, we will try to get more done tomorrow!
