Year 9 – Week 4 – Day 2

The November Lego Creative Crew meeting was today and Trevor got to come in and participate too!

Their assignment was “Mission to Another World”. They were given a base plate and a theme and they had to build a base camp that met certain criteria. They were given the surface of Mars.

Here’s the solutions they came up with

Since Brendan missed the very first meeting, he did not get the behind the scenes tour. Today after class, the Master Builder took Brendan and Trevor in to his workshop and let the explore everything. They felt like VIP!

This is the view the public gets of the workshop

After we were done at LegoLand, Brendan wanted to go try a restaurant called “Big Sushi”. It is the carousel type where all the plate go around and around and you just pick what you want. (Trevor went home because he did NOT want sushi)

Brendan was very adventurous and tried lots of things. He was trying to learn to use chopsticks too.

This is a tuna roll

He even tried squid salad!

It was not his favorite

He discovered his ultimate favorite. Pork Dumplings!

He took every plate of dumplings from the carousel. I think he ate four plates of them!! He mostly eats the filling and not much of the shell.

Year 9 – Week 3 – Day 2

Hotels with indoor pools! That is the boys’ favorite!

We had the pool all to ourselves in the morning

Brendan went straight for the hot tub

Trevor went for jumping in the big pool

It was worth staying the extra day in Williams for this

When we checked out of the hotel, we went to the Grand Canyon Deer Farm

Feeding the deer is a challenge when you are short. They will snatch the cup out of your hands if you let them!

Last stop at a little restaurant for some food before we head home

Brendan discovers that he loves clam chowder

Owl in a fishbowl? OK
