My boys went outside this morning (this patio is the best thing we have done to this house!). It was nice to have some quiet time but they were “making potions”.
They said they made a “dirt exploding potion”. It worked.
Yes, Trevor is naked.
They were dipping brooms in the mud and painting with them. It was awesome.
This seems like a recent theme with Brendan. 🙂
We had a nice quiet mother’s day. We all can’t wait to go see my mom in person so we can celebrate cousinpallooza II!
Two posts in two days doesn’t really make up for going two weeks without a post, but I am trying. 🙂
We met our friends at the park so that the boys could play with their buddy Landon.
I took my new camera lens. Here are a few shots of the boys being boys.
Trevor is so ready for swimming season, but Bailey’s pool is still a little too chilly!
Here is Trevor’s robot that he made for Earth Day at school. We have a big advantage in “recycled materials” projects because of all the cool medical supplies we go through.
Here is Trevor to tell you about the robot:
The boys have a new reward board where they can earn push pins to fill up dots to achieve different goals. When they reach goals, they can cash in their pins to buy prizes. One of the first things they bought, a pair of light sabers.
Taking it to the next level
Brendan was sick again. (me too) He stayed out of the hospital, but this cold lingered a long time. Then Bill and I both had pink eye, and we are still waiting to see if they boys are going to get it.
The boys are learning about electrical circuits. “Snap Circuits” are cool toys with lots of neat projects for kids. Playing circuits with Daddy is one of the boys favorite things.
Then there was the day we drove 23 miles to the hospital pharmacy to pick up meds only to find out it was closed for renovation. No notice when I called in the refill. So frustrating! Bill drove back when it opened to find out that they had “lost” any refill requests called in during the weekend it was closed. Nice.
It wasn’t a total waste, we got to eat at Trevor’s favorite restaurant – the hospital cafeteria.
The hospital tries to be welcoming to kids. They love the light show in the big hallway.
We had our first 100 degree day of the year on Wednesday. We will have one more beautiful weekend of cooler temps, and then the roasting will begin for the summer. 🙂
