Year 5 – Week 10 – Day 6 – Part II

Second post of the day, don’t miss Part One!!

I have a collection of Trevor pictures from the last week. I am not sure why Brendan was not in any of them!

Trevor has been helping with chores. He really loves to mop. We have found that the rubbery-treaded hospital socks make perfect no-slip mopping socks.

Unless you put one sock on both feet.

He was very thoughtful. He ran to the playroom and got out the traffic cones by himself and set up warnings for the wet floor.

We bought a big box of blackberries at Costco and they ended up being too sour for Trevor to eat. So he helped me make them in to a blackberry buckle.

Seriously YUM!!

He’s also been doing yard work. He is using his combo to pile up leaves.

The boys have a very special message for their cousin today. Happy 3rd birthday, Kieran! Brendan and Trevor wanted to share a robe dance with you. 🙂

Year 5 – Week 10 – Day 6 – Happy New Year!

2015 is all done, and we hope that 2016 brings all good news. Brendan could potentially get his heart surgery this summer. Maybe they will figure out how to get the trach out. It is all unknown! We just have to make the most of every day.

I knit a sweater for each of the boys to match one that I made Bill a number of years ago. (the photo of all three together will be coming soon) I raced to get the sweaters done in time for holiday photos, but Brendan ended up being sick and then spent the week in the hospital. So photos had to be postponed until he was feeling better and looking less blue.

Just in time for New Year’s Day, our latest portraits..

Year 5 – Week 9 – Day 7

While writing about our new Pittsburgh cousin last night, I had no idea that he would be born just a few hours later!! Congratulations and welcome little baby Malcolm!

Our family was suffering serious cabin fever from being kept in by illness. We decided to head up to the snow. We ate lunch at this little cafe up in the mountains. I had to walk across the street to try to take a picture of the “snownados”. The wind was really blowing and whipping up big swirling funnels of snow in the fields. Of course, it wouldn’t do it while I stood there freezing with my camera in 20 degree weather.

Who’s kid is that in the window?
509t04

Oh

Good lunch

Big snow plows!

The boys dressed up like big walking pillows again. The forests are so beautiful in the winter.

It was a good adventure and we came home to much warmer temperatures. Bill even got to pull a deeply stuck truck out of the snow on the side of the highway. There is a reason to always have a tow strap in the truck.

The boys should have been exhausted but didn’t want to go to sleep!
