It seems like this day was supposed to be so far away, but it got here really fast. Gramma and Grampa arrived safely this afternoon and jumped right in to the chaos head first! Trevor went to the airport to pick them up and got tons of kisses before he even got out of his carseat!

I am not sure why we got so busy we didn’t get any pictures of Gramma today. We have time to make up for that!! Grampa Dusty was very excited to meet the babies. Brendan decided that he liked him.

Of course, Brendan was in a great mood all day anyway. His night nurse said that it was the first night since she has worked with us (since the day he came home) that he went the whole night with no meltdowns. He woke up smiling and happy every time and she got to play with him a lot!

He was a little afraid. He kept having to look to see what Grampa Dusty was doing but he didn’t want him to look back. As the night wore on, he started to warm up to him. He did bring cool new forks and spoons that Trevor liked to chew on. He used them for dinner.

Cousin Caleb and Aunt Erin sent the boys a helicopter toy that Brendan LOVES.

Gramma had to pack a whole second suitcase because of all the loot that she brought for the boys! It is going to take days to appreciate all of the stuff and have a chance to use it or play with it!!

Trevor did a lot of cute things too and was adorable in his little dress shirt and khaki shorts. But we just didn’t have the camera out enough for his pictures!

Brendan has an adorable look we call “Chomp Face”. He sticks out his little bottom jaw so that his teeth are out, opens his mouth up and sticks his tongue out a little as he tries to pull something in to bite it. It is a very serious “I am going to bite that” move, and it is especially cute when he is coming right for your nose!

Brendan had speech therapy today. She brought Jello to play with this time, you can tell how enthusiastic he was about it.

Today was proof that Brendan is a good actor and that he really really does not like his speech therapist. He was all cranky and rubbing his eyes like he was tired and crying. The moment the door closed behind her, his color improved, he smiled and starting kicking and playing with the toys! It is time we ask for a new therapist. We have given this one plenty more opportunity than necessary. His next appointment will be with the ND tube out of his nose, and we want no setbacks!

Trevor had to go to Sam’s Club again today. Pampers diapers are $6 off per box this weekend only. We had to stock up! When he got home, he and Brendan had a little nap together.

Trevor can’t wait to show Gramma and Grampa his newest trick. He waves hello and goodbye now, and he does it in the cutest way. I haven’t been able to catch it on video yet. Brendan even tries to copy!

Today Brendan was in the silliest mood, he just wanted to play all day long. I tried to enjoy it as much as possible because there is no telling what his recovery will be like after surgery. Then there is the continuation of the drug weaning to look forward to. I hope that he is this silly and fun all weekend for Grampa Dusty to visit. Less than 48 hours until Gramma is back!

Just when we were getting in to the rhythm of our daily routine, it is changing up again. I think Trevor is moving to a one nap a day baby. He did take a long nap midday and went to bed at a reasonable hour!

Brendan really loves the yellow puffs container, and was simply blown away by the monolithic cheerios box!

He likes to watch Trevor eating too, you never know what you will see.

Every time we talk about putting this swing up for sale, we end up using it. Brendan loved it today! He did not want to nap in his crib, no way! But he fell asleep swinging.

He has to make sure nobody pulls on his tube while he is sleeping.

Baby jail has been relocated to a more functional area of the room. At least the inmates get some Yo Gabba Gabba privileges.
