Year 2 – Week 10 – Day 2

Today was a total reversal of yesterday. Crying baby Trevor turned in to silly baby Trevor and Brendan had a nice day too. He did some awesome tummy time and is starting to make efforts to try to move himself. He needs to build more strength before he will be able to crawl, but the motivation is there and you can see him thinking about it.

He went through a couple of outfits today, but he is liking wearing onesies.

Trevor had to see what he was going to work on today.

I am not sure what he is going to do with those saws!

Trevor decided to drive the workbench around like a car.

He likes the pegs on the back. He did tip the whole thing over on himself today. It tips way more easily than it should, even without shenanigans. So now it is tied to the wall so it can’t move or tip.

Super silly Trevor!

The cutest thing ever: Trevor loves his brother!

Brendan wins!!

(Those are cheerios that Trevor spilled that he is eating off of the floor)

Brendan is getting tougher and not letting Trevor get away with so much. I like how in that last video, Trevor almost says “please” and begs Brendan for the cup when Brendan won’t just let go of it!

Year 2 – Week 10 – Day 1

It was Crying Baby Central at our house today. Even though Trevor slept through the night, he was just irritable and tired all day. The slightest little thing would set him off just crying and crying. And when he is feeling emotional, he also is ten times more naughty. Instead of playing with his toys, he tries to crawl back in to Brendan’s equipment or climb things. I had to say “no” far too many times and that just made him worse! He ended up getting a time out this afternoon. He didn’t like it, but it helped.

Brendan was a good baby for the most part. Besides refusing to take a nap unless he is held and rocked, and the fact that he stayed up well past 9PM, he was silly and playful. He is suddenly making big improvements in his tummy time skills.

He sits in his “throne” in the mornings. He was reading his favorite book, “Peek-a-boo Forest”. Then he decided to throw it overboard and see who would get it for him.

That plan was not thought out well!

But he did attract a Trevor!

Trevor will sometimes surprise us and do nice things for Brendan. Usually though, he just pats him on the head like he is one of the dogs.

This time Trevor was distracted by my cereal bowl and spoon and Mommy had to rescue the book.

Brendan loves watching Trevor get in to trouble. I think he is making notes for when he is mobile.

Trevor did projects today and puts away the wrench. He loves his workbench, but today he figured out that he could use it as a ladder to get to the Christmas tree on the counter. He tried to scale the workbench every chance he got. The little orange door in the center flaps down and turns in to a perfect step.

I thought I could occupy the boys with a little art project but they were not so interested in coloring.

Brendan wins and gets the box of crayons. Even Brendan tried to eat crayons.

I did get them to draw some, but it was more a constant battle to keep crayons out of mouths.

“no Trevor, no Trevor, no Trevor, don’t eat crayons, no, no, no”….meltdown

I hope tomorrow has a lot less crying!

Year 2 – Week 9 – Day 7

The day after Christmas was a lot like Christmas, not anything special going on.

Trevor woke up to play with the new workbench. He loves it. He likes cubbies, drawers and doors and this has several. He likes the tools, especially the tape measure and the drill. Gramma bought both boys a HUGE tool set to go in the workbench, but they are just not quite old enough for all of those pieces.

Trevor even put on his carpenter jeans today.

Those jeans are still a bit big on him!

This was the look I got from Trevor when I tried to scold him for throwing his food on the floor and sweeping it off of his tray.

It was Brendan’s turn to do all the laundry today.

Brendan looks so super cute in this little onesie. He was ready to go to sleep when I took this pic

I am ready to go to sleep too! Brendan is awake again and going crazy in his bouncy chair!
