Year 3 – Week 10 – Day 3

It was a very stressful day for us. Starting out getting completely doused with sour formula vomit didn’t help. Brendan had a bad day keeping his food down, but otherwise his day went well.
Getting all of Quinn’s belongings packed was sad. He got picked up at 1PM and went to meet the new family. We just had to wait. Later in the evening, we heard that everything went well and that they were going to keep him there tonight. That is the best news we could have heard in this situation. It will be a good place for him. Many thanks to Bailey for watching him for three nights. I am glad she gets relief too.
That this all worked so well so fast still makes me nervous, but for now, we will just try to move on.

We tried to exercise the boys with some yardwork. Afternoon naps are starting to slip away and we try to increase morning activity to help keep them! Trevor discovered the leaf blower/vacuum and of course, he wanted to help.

Brendan would rather push the trike around. They are still not big enough to sit and pedal it. Trevor can almost do it.

Trevor likes to play in the neighbor’s yard.

The boys like to walk. Trevor has started darting away and running so we have to be so careful. He does very well knowing not to walk in the street.

Lunch time was cheesy

Brendan is getting more confident about trying to touch and lick things

We finally found more of his favorite honey mustard pretzels

This is the “Happy Face”

Too much stress and work to do led to Wendys for dinner. Trevor got to enjoy the last free Frosty from his coupon book.

I am so ready for a day without vomit and anxiety. I really wish I could get one solid night of sleep.

  1. First, I wish you a solid night of sleep, and a day without vomit and anxiety.
I also will wish for Quinn to like his new home, and that it will all work out for the best. Try not to be nervous, sometimes things work out well.
Now, on to the cuteness! I’ve not seen anyone enjoy a Frosty as much as Trevor does! It makes me want to send him another coupon book. 🙂
I love the last picture of Brendan sweeping. He stands so tall and steady now. All of the licking food he is doing is progress! He looks so cute doing it, too. 🙂
Trevor sure worked hard leaf-blowing. It looks like the boys will be doing the housecleaning AND the yard work!! You are really lucky! 😉
Lots of love, hugs and sweet dreams,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. Good morning from the Lake House!! We will simply say “ditto” to Gramma’s post! Hoping that today will bring wellness, renewed energy, and some smiles to all your faces! It is heart warming to see Brendan experimenting with his food and yes, Trevor should be a spokesperson for Wendys!!! Will try waving our magic wand, hoping it reaches AZ and all will be well!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂

  3. Hoping that Quinn finds “his place”, and there are no further problems. 🙂

Brendan is doing things now, that he hasn’t before. He’s making progress…..
Trevor, is “Trevor”. For Brendan, this is probably the best thing Trevor can be.
A brother, who is not limited. A brother who is an example of the health Brendan is trying to achieve……. A Brother. 😉 🙂 🙂
