It was an unusual Monday because we traded nursing hours out. We had someone today and then won’t have anyone on Friday instead. Brendan had a pretty good day and stayed busy.
Trevor was fixated on GeoTrax today. He built trains all morning, and even declined going outside in order to keep playing trains and take-apart cars.
(The first words out of his mouth in the mornings is often “delivery truck bring new box with take-apart airplane??!”)

I am so so sorry for my singing and can’t believe I am posting this. I just wanted to share Brendan’s reaction because it makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. The video has some of his new sounds and other cute stuff too!

There’s just a quick series of pictures tonight. The boys had mini ice cream cones for dessert. Brendan had to have one because Trevor likes them so much.

In this busy video, Trevor is trying to say that ice cream is for dessert, but gets distracted. Brendan demonstrates how much he loves Curious George by dancing to the theme song. Trevor notices that his cone is empty but that Brendan’s, while broken, is still full of ice cream!

Instead of eating the cone, Trevor gnaws through the side to get the chocolate nugget out of the bottom.

Bill took care of the boys all morning today while I went to a cool little class and learned how to sharpen knives. 🙂 It was nice to have a child-free outing and pick up some new skills.

The boys both slept well for their “slumber party” but just not enough. Trevor was up until midnight or so because he kept hearing motorcycles and airplanes. Our checklist of supplies is two pages long, but I think we have a comprehensive list now.
Today should have been a recovery day but it was pretty hectic. Brendan started his new rate & med today and did well. There was just one issue early this morning.

This is what Brendan thinks of my singing voice. He especially hates it if I try to sing Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies”. He cries like it is torture, big tears pour out. I know my voice is bad, but wow!

Now I have to get back to my war on fingernails. Brendan even fights me in his sleep, I can only get through 3 or 4 nails at a time.
