Trevor had a visit to the doctor this afternoon. He amazed me with how well he handled his checkup and throat culture! He was so cooperative! When the culture was done, he wanted to keep pushing his tongue down with the depressor. It was funny.

The quick test that they run on the cultures came back negative for strep, but they will be sending it to the lab anyway. The doctor said his throat is red and gives it a 50/50 that it might be positive. Just knowing his throat may be sore explains why he is not sleeping and eating like normal.

Brendan is doing better today. Other than a very sore throat, I am feeling better too. I only have silly bathtub pictures for tonight.

Brendan loves the water just as much as Trevor. We just have to be so much more careful. It is tough to keep him from going crazy!

I got to see my doctor today, and the verdict is strep. I picked up a z-pak and made Trevor an appointment to get in to see his pediatrician. He has had really low fevers and I thought he was doing better but he still wakes up in the night and is upset when he gets up from his nap. He probably needs medication too. Brendan’s Augmentin will cover him so I am glad he already started it.

For being sick boys, they were still awfully active and crazy. It is me that is feeling like I got runover by the garbage truck a few times.

As the day has gone by, my body aching, swollen glands, sore throat, light-headed yuckiness has gotten worse. It is a good thing that I already have a doctor’s appt tomorrow afternoon. Brendan had some yellow color to his trach secretions and had a fever overnight and on and off all day so we called his pediatrician. They got us in in under 30 minutes!
The doc says that the wildfire burning in San Diego is causing our air quality to be terrible, and many people with respiratory afflictions are really struggling right now. He said it is a horrible time to have an infection too so he started him on “bug juice”, aka Augmentin for 10 days.
Trevor at least seems to be doing better and slept in until 7am, and Bill seems healthy so far!

I hope we caught this in time that Brendan can feel better quickly. He has his dance partner, Buzz to keep him company.

He can protect him from the scary part in movies too.

Trevor loves the beginning of the movie Frozen with all the ice-sawing and snowflakes. I love watching a movie with Trevor, because he will narrate in detail everything that is going on in each scene and it is adorable. I didn’t have time to film him watching the whole movie tonight though! 🙂
