Year 4 – Week 4 – Day 7

I took the boys on an outing this morning to enjoy the beautiful weather. We went to go see some serious demolition! Almost 10yrs ago, developers started building this 6-story monster that was supposed to be an office/retail/luxury condo thing. Then the economy tanked and the project went bankrupt. This concrete shell has stood untouched for all these years waiting for anyone willing to deal with the mess. This hulk could be seen from two major freeways and it was a landmark for every commuter.
It finally started coming down yesterday! It was cool to watch part of the destruction.

We then went in to Target and the boys went shopping in the toy aisles. Brendan was so excited to find Paw Patrol toys. Neither boy was tall enough to reach.

Brendan is hugging it to tell me he loves it

They like to shop

I had just told him it was time to put the pups back on the shelf.

I will probably go back and pick up a Pup toy to take with us to the cardiologist next week. MAYBE it will help him behave for his echo.

Year 4 – Week 4 – Day 6

I have a handful of pictures from the last few days that I took with my phone.

Trevor and I walked around the furniture store Mod Home a few days ago. There is something about industrial decor that tickles my fancy. I maybe wouldn’t go so far as to having a 7ft robot sculpture in the entry.

I would totally cuddle up and read in this egg chair though, if I only had a place for it. 🙂
404t07

Yesterday, we went to the grand opening of the new Dunkin Donuts that is not even a mile from our house. We have been watching them build it all along. Trevor liked to keep up on the construction site.
404bt14

We made a quick Sams Club trip. The boys got spaghetti and meatballs from one of the sampler booths.
404bt15

The freeosk was loaded with chocolate kisses and it was out of order! Trevor says, “Oh no! It’s broken!” How not fair. It is never broken when it is dishwasher soap. 😉
404bt16

Tonight we ran to Lowes for a replacement door knob/lock for the back door. The boys love to shop there.

It has been a very weird November, but there isn’t much to blog about!

Year 4 – Week 4 – Day 4

Four four four. 🙂

I am having a difficult time even imagining the struggle to deal with four to six feet of snow falling in Buffalo. It was chilly enough here this morning that the boys put on sweatshirts.

They won’t be shovelling snow, just throwing dirt.
404bt10

404b11

They don’t have to worry about pulling their cars out of snow drifts.
404bt11

Trevor says they are riding their “motorcycles”

So far everyone has stayed healthy and Bill is almost over his cold. I hope that continues!
