Year 4 – Week 18 – Day 7

Changes changes changes..

Brendan is about to start seeing two new therapists for an hour a week each (speech and feeding). At the same time, we just found out our PT is moving and we will lose him again and have to find someone new. (So bummed about that!)
Also, our day nurse worked her last shift yesterday and is moving on to a new job. We are presently declining a replacement person. Starting next week, Our night nurse will leave at 9am and then it will be just me and the boys until Bill is off of work!

Brendan is getting faster on his bike. So much so, that I had to get them new helmets.
We went to the park to ride today.

As we get in to March, we will be starting the quarterly cycle of doctor’s appointments all over again. We have some super fun things planned too!

  1. In pictures, you make taking care of the boys by yourself look so easy! It also looks like they get along and always have fun together. They are so cute, and always dressed so nice, they look like perfect little angels! 😉
But, trust me, I iknow how difficult it can be, and what hard work it is. Then, we all see all of the fun things you and Bill do with them, and you must be exhausted! They are very lucky little boys to have you.
I’m sure you’ll have a big adjustment to not having any daytime nurse. I’m sorry to hear your favorite PT is leaving again, but happy to hear Brendan will have speech therapy separate from feeding therapy, that makes more sense to me.
It’s so nice to see Brendan on his bike! Trevor will have to teach him how to use the brake! 😉
We’ve got extreme cold again, and Sunday, there’s more snow coming! It’s been a long winter!
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. absolutely adorable pictures. I check every day….I love their smiles and Brendan seems to be getting used to his glasses – of course I don’t know if you have hassles with that or if he realizes the improvement in seeing what he is doing. So glad they discovered it early enough to make the correction work for him.

  3. Good morning from the equally cold as IL, East Coast!! Of course, snow is on the way BUT we anticipate a taste of spring next week!! The photos in your blog are just terrific!!! Brendan and Trevor are beautiful little boys!! I agree with Gramma, your days will be exhausting without an extra set of hands, but know your love and creativity will kick in full power and most days will go well!! The separate therapists for Brendan is truly a great plan…hoping that they will be knowledgeable and will help Brendan achieve his goals!!! Good luck with having true professionals work with Brendan!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂

  4. “Feeding de Ducks” 🙂 🙂 🙂
Instantly, memories of you, Tiffanie, and Aunt Heather, In Virginia Beach, Feeding de Ducks.
” Legos in separate rooms ” 🙂 🙂 Brendan ?, “instigating” ?? Yeah he does have “that look” – – -Who knows what evil lurks, behind those innocent looking eyes? 😉 😉 Oh, yeah, I almost forgot…… “Brothers know” …… that’s what brothers are for…. both with “innocent eyes”, both “plotting” 😉 😮 🙂 🙂 So it is, that, ” The plot thickens ” 🙂
