Year 3 – Week 52 – Day 2

Our yard sale was quite a success this morning. I don’t mean we raked in a ton of dough, but the whole family enjoyed being outside all morning in the gorgeous weather. Mary Alyn worked this morning to take care of Brendan’s needs and the boys had a good time. Most of the excess stuff sold quickly. Our friend Steve picked up all of the leftovers to take to donate for us.
We were all done by 11am!

On the down side, Trevor definitely has a cold of some kind. He is very stuffy in his nose, and so far that is the only symptom.
Both boys skipped napping and boy did they get cranky around dinnertime! Wow!

But then to flip it again, Brendan is trying to prove that he is going to beat Trevor to some milestone. He pooped on the potty AGAIN! Then after running around a few minutes, he came back and asked to go again and made pee. He loves the applause and party and big deal about it. He also loves the robot sticker and the legos he wins.

We were super busy all day, I am sorry Trevor is going to be invisible again this post. I hope he feels better in the morning.

Year 3 – Week 52 – Day 1

Writing “Week 52” creeps me out! A week from tomorrow, I will have 3yr olds! It can’t be real!

Tomorrow morning, we are being insane and we are going to try to have a big yard sale. It is all part of the “Big Purge” that Bill and I have been trying to do. We have to make more room in this small house for our family by getting rid of the accumulation of “stuff”. Bill and I are both the type that has a hard time throwing something away if it could be useful later, especially as raw materials to make something new or repurpose it. All that has to go.
The funny thing is, we have had this bug screen tent thing in the garage or attic for probably 8yrs and have never taken it out of the box. (It was a gift, and it is pretty cool but we never took the time to figure out how to set it up until today!)
With the huge overpopulation of mosquitoes killing our outside time, I took the 30 minutes to figure out how to put it together.
Some water buckets and about 10lbs of pea gravel and the boys played together about as nicely as the ever have!

Trevor asked me to “do a video” and wanted me to sing. I have to apologize for two things: First, I didn’t realize I was covering the microphone while holding the camera. Second, sorry for singing!

Getting dry and warm inside. I guess they decided that they liked each other tonight.

Brendan woke up SUPER crabby this morning, so I am glad things worked out this evening. We will have a super early morning setting up the stuff outside. I hope it all goes quickly!

Trevor sneezed and sniffled quite a lot today and then complained that his nose was dripping at bedtime. I sure hope that it will go away.
