Year 4 – Week 31 – Day 6

Happy Day-After Birthday for me. I got up just before 4am yesterday to get on an airplane with Trevor. It was a good flight, he was a good boy and we made it to Libertyville in time for lunch!

Trevor was simply beside himself to be at Gramma’s house. He spent some time with his cousin Caleb. Today is Caleb’s 4th birthday! Happy birthday, my little birthday buddy!

Trevor spent the last two days playing with Gizmo. He laughs hysterically and chases the dog all around.

431t07

Trevor helped Gramma make me a birthday carrot cake! YUM! It was sooo good.

Aunt Shannon, Aunt Letty, and Kieran arrived this morning. Kieran had some big news to share!!
43106

The cousins built giant Lego towers and crashed them.

The three boys had a blast doing stunts, “jumping the canyon”. There were so many pictures, I could not pick my favorites.

We have lots of exhausted people in this house tonight! All these little boys (and the dog) are done! Caleb’s big party is tomorrow!

Year 4 – Week 31 – Day 4

It has been a long week. Last Wednesday, I had to take Trevor to the doctor for an infection on his little rear cheek. The doctor suspects it is MRSA, and it turned a normal little pimple in to a badly abscessed boil with cellulitis. He was in a lot of pain. Some strong antibiotics have taken care of it, but in the meantime, we have had to shelter Brendan. We have to bleach the tub and potty after every use and try not to let Brendan touch anything “contaminated”.

We were otherwise very busy.

Tuesday lunch at IKEA. “Pink PopJuice” is half lingonberry and half Sierra Mist. Yum!

431t03

Brendan likes his gravy “kitty style”, aka lapped up from a saucer

There was a huge sale on annual passes for the Sealife Aquarium, so we bought some. The boys each got their own photo ID membership card. I will have to take pictures, they are cute. The boys have been through 3 times already. Brendan loves stingrays and Trevor likes the touch pools best.
431bt01

We had dinner out. Trevor is serious about his shaky cheese on his spaghetti.
431bt02

431bt03

Bill took the boys on a roadtrip to Flagstaff so that I could finish some big projects in peace. They went to the Pioneer Museum, which included touring an old train engine and caboose.

We picked up a small pile of Legos from Craigslist. 🙂 😀 So far we have built four cool models and still sorting.
431b03

Today was ice cream day at Sam’s Club. They were giving Klondike bars out to anyone that made a donation to the children’s hospital.

At another store, we found this crazy pillow in the Clearance section. Brendan’s all time favorite Legos are police sets, especially the bad guys. We had to buy it.
43101

Brendan is demonstrating how well it works to lounge and play police Legos. This is “Baby Police Station” and the other set is called “Big Big Big Big Big Police Station”.

Our five straight days with no nurse went well, even with Trevor’s infection. Brendan slept all five nights in his new bed in the bedroom. Trevor is liking having a roommate so far.

We are still waiting on the official report from the sleep study, but the doctor wrote the official prescription to have the ventilator picked up by the equipment company. EEK!

We are frantically preparing for a busy couple of weeks. Thursday, Trevor and I are getting on a plane to head to Libertyville for the weekend! Then we bring Kayla home with us. She will be joined a few days later by Aunt Heather and Ashley. We will have lots of excitement!

Year 4 – Week 30 – Day 3

We had another unusually un-hot day. The high was only about 89 degrees instead of three digits. We decided to celebrate by walking to the new donut store on the corner about a mile away. (I walked, boys rode in stroller!)

We probably won’t be going back. The boys prefer the Dunkin’ that is right across the street. “Bosa Donuts and Smoothies” is the name of the store, and their idea of a strawberry smoothie is to take Nesquick strawberry milk and blend it with ice. Watered down fake strawberry milk is NASTY. Trevor almost gagged on it.
The donuts were good.

We made a quick stop at Walmart (in the car). They were all donut-high and crazy. Brothers! This behavior is going to be the end of me. (Even if it is cute in pictures)
430bt03

We played with our giant Lego police station that I have been trying to build for months. Sitting outside with the misters on was really nice.
430bt04

Brendan has been begging for this set since he saw the box
430b03

The “bad guys” are in prison. They have beds, sinks, and even potties.

This is Trevor’s “owl face”
430t01

This video picks up a lot of the sound from the mist so it is hard to hear Brendan save the bad guy and go through all of his different owl impressions. If you are not a member of my immediate family, you will probably not get what Trevor is talking about. 🙂

No results on the sleep study yet!
