Week 53 – Day 1

The last few days of the first year are here! We are trying to prep for a simple birthday celebration, but there is a lot that I wanted to do for their big #1 milestone. The time flies!

The cousins still had playtime in the water this morning. They both got out with prunes for fingers and toes, they would stay in the bath all day I think!

Trevor loves to lie back, float and relax

Gramma has to use every trick she knows to get Trevor’s fingernails trimmed!

Caleb was all ready to jump in and play in the tub with Brendan too!

Caleb was dropping his truck in the water and then saving it, Brendan is just fascinated with his hair!

Caleb just wants to play outside!

He just has to settle for running cars on the wood floor

One of the big big things on my birthday to-do list was portraits. I have taken a ton of pictures of the boys but they have all been snapshots. Brendan is not able to go to any kind of real portrait studio, so we did our best today to put together the cheesiest, silliest, most DIY home portrait setup in order to try to get some 1st birthday photos.

I am embarrassed to say how many shots the camera fired, but in the end I got some real keepers (even if they are far from pro quality!) Brendan was the easiest baby ever, he was just so cooperative and fun and photogenic. The other boys were just more… challenging!

Here’s the best of our “studio” session!

Week 52 – Day 7

Someone requested bath pictures? 🙂 Two of the boys had a splashing good time in the tub this morning. Brendan can not be in the big tub so we can’t have all three in the photo.

Somebody might be helping to make more bubbles!

He is having fun!

We are somehow very lucky, the three babies take a nap around the same time in the morning.

Sleepy boy #1

Sleepy boy #2

Sleepy boy #3

When Brendan woke up, he got to his desk and started making calls to move his vehicle inventory.

How could you resist a salesman this cute?

Caleb flops down on the ground to play with his cars

He is totally in to cars and trains right now. He loves the boy’s train whistle and immediately figured out how to do it himself!

Another birthday package arrived today!

Brendan shows off the new cool ball dropper toy.

Some silliness at dinnertime!

We all were wondering if Caleb was going to have trouble falling asleep in a strange new place in a small crib. He gets so worn out by the end of the day that he doesn’t even flinch when he gets put down to bed!

Week 52 – Day 6

The best way to sum up the day is a quote from Gramma. After bathing and feeding two babies, taking them on an almost mile long walk, and sitting and visiting on the patio, she walks in and says, “It is only 9:30?!”
Our day is always full. While the other two boys were out on their walk, Brendan got a bath and a trach tube change and all of his maintenance.

Babies wake up bright and EARLY, but they don’t need coffee to get started. These are smiling 6am babies.

They all played with the ball popper while they waited for the adults to get their butts in gear

Brendan finds it fascinating!

They got their walk in this morning, but it started to get hot!

Brendan adores Caleb and how he plays. Trevor is still getting used to another mobile baby in the house and gives Caleb lots of his hand on hip attitude!

There was a party in Brendan’s crib today!

At the end of the night, we are all wiped out!
