Week 52 – Day 5

I can’t even believe that company arrived just yesterday. Today was so long and crazy and fun and wild and fast paced, it seems like they have been here a week already!! I have so many pictures, I had to pick and choose and still have more than 20 to post tonight! That is what happens when there is a house full of cute babies!

Caleb is getting used to the chaos. Gramma jumped in headfirst and went in to a cleaning whirlwind mode, scrubbing house and babies and dishes and laundry! Because she gave Trevor a bath in the sink, Brendan got to have his tub to himself and he soaked in his bubbles for a long while!

After Trevor got his Gram-spa treatment, Caleb had to get the works too! He wasn’t sure why Gramma got the camera.

He liked Trevor’s bath turtles.

Trevor told him that he had to try to lick the shower.

He thought the whole event was a blast until Gramma tried to put him in a monkey towel.

Trevor doesn’t stay clean long, he thinks he is a puppy and he is DETERMINED to get to the dog food. He is obsessed with escaping baby jail to make it to the dog bowls. He throws up his most clever diversion tactics to trick me so he can get there.

Trevor went down for a nap and so Caleb and Erin and Gramma went to Costco to stock up for the week. Brendan got all of his maintenance and passed out while I was trying to clean up!

They brought home Costco hot dogs for lunch. Trevor and Caleb split one. He was amazed, “This is what is for lunch!?!?”

He gobbled up his hot dog (skinned and chopped fine!)

While Trevor ate, Caleb played “drums” with Brendan

And had plenty of silly time too!

Caleb wanted to share his favorite train movie with the other boys, but someone kept trying to steal his drink

Poor Caleb. That’s Brendan’s slapping hand that has a mind of his own. Brendan is innocent!

Ok, so maybe not. The water cup was not enough, he had to chomp the bib too!

Gramma just wanted to hold the twins. But a battle over a baby key ring broke out!

Then the super silliness started. Caleb was trying to get away, Trevor was slipping out under the arm of the chair and Brendan was trying to pull Caleb’s hair!

Erin and Caleb try to catch a little rest during the train movie

Brendan totally loves having Caleb around. Caleb frantically loaded the popper hopper to keep it going!

Caleb loved the ball popper!

“Trevor always has to come and ruin it!” Trevor likes to push the center down so it can’t pop.

Three babies in “Toylandia” aka baby jail! Notice that the twins are already trying to turn Caleb in to an Arizona baby, he had to lose the tshirt!

This picture is one of my all time favorites. I caught it right as Brendan was starting to tip over! Not only did I capture this gem, but I caught Brendan too so he didn’t bonk!

He was just silly! (Those are his own feet!)

We had TWO video chats with Aunt Shannon and Uncle Jon today on top of everything. Shannon play crazy peek-a-boo games with the boys. They are fascinated!

You would think that three adults (Bill was away for the day) and three babies would be totally manageable but it is really a challenge! Today we had Brendan retching and vomiting up phlegm on Gramma at the exact same moment that I am trying to change an epic Trevor poop bomb that is starting to leak, Erin is trying to pull chicken off of the grill that is starting to catch on fire and Caleb is trying to crawl out the dog door. No way to count how many times we all said, “No! No! No!” today!!

It worked out that tonight we have no night nurse so I am staying up super late. I had an extra large blog post to work on to keep me busy, though it is hard to look at the screen with tired eyes. Trevor and I were up at 5am so I am so ready to climb in bed and hope that he decides to sleep in tomorrow!

Week 52 – Day 4

It was such a super busy day, it was hard to pick up the camera – even for Gramma!

The day started with Bill going in to the office so I had the babies by myself. They were good boys but they just kept me hopping! I was a sweaty mess but they had a nice time.

They got all scrubbed up and clean for company to come!

Meanwhile, Caleb, Aunt Erin and Gramma were on the plane!

Caleb was a good boy during the flight, and waited until they landed to take his nap!

Trevor’s face when he saw Caleb walking around was just priceless. It was a lot like purple monster face. He was a little nervous about the noise and extra people but he definitely remembered Gramma. He doesn’t know why this other kid is hugging his Gramma too!

Trevor got a second bath because he got to hop in with Caleb in Brendan’s little tub for a quick wash. They will have a lot more fun in the big boy bath tub tomorrow.

It is so funny to have the boys all together. Caleb and Trevor are almost the exact same height but Caleb looks so much older and filled out. Trevor looked a lot more like a baby! Trevor was pretty impressed with Caleb’s walking and was motivated to make more effort himself. Caleb must have walked about a quarter mile doing laps around my house and patio!

Trevor has been attached to Gramma like a little shadow. He has been really interested in everything she is doing, he wants to watch and be involved and he wants her to pick him up and carry him around.
Brendan was in an awesome mood. He just was a spazz playing with Gramma and talking to Aunt Erin. He just watched all of the other boys’ antics with amazement.

All of the babies are asleep now, it is going to be a fun week. We will all need a vacation from vacation when we are all done!

Week 52 – Day 3

Brendan had a much better day today, he is getting back around to feeling more “normal” again while his meds are parked at a steady dose. It was good to see him feeling more like playing, we want him to be able to have fun with the other boys TOMORROW!
Gramma, Aunt Erin, and Caleb land around 12:30. Right after Trevor lunch!

Packages are starting to show up at the house. The boys are getting little samples of birthday fun every day. Today it was this spiffy ball popping dinosaur. The boys were waiting to see what it did.

I think this is going to be more of a mommy-exerciser. These things go everywhere.

Trevor immediately figured out how it worked and stopped the popping

I picked up some pumpkins this year, I hope we have a chance to carve them. I want to see the boys faces when they touch pumpkin guts!

Trevor is getting in to the spirit of the season. He wouldn’t sit still, he kept flapping his arms because he is not used to wearing anything with long sleeves!
