April 14th – More birthday fun!

It seems that with my children, one day to celebrate a birthday just isn’t enough! Ashley had pizza with her Grandma Millie (with presents) on Friday, girl friends (with presents) yesterday, and now visiting Gramma and Grampa and Great Grandma (with more presents) today! She loves everything she got for her birthday – thank you all!

Here are some pictures from last night and today. Ashley had cookie dough truffles rather than a cake, so I had to get a little creative for the candles and song thing.

After dessert, I spent 90 minutes putting special nail polish strips on 5 little girls. Here are the results!

And a few really nice shots from today. She loves her bench and it is perfect with her keyboard. She also adores her iPod, her new music bag, the clothes for her doll, and everything else!

  1. Good morning from the East Coast!! Ashley, way to go with birthday celebrations!! Your cousin Carrie is the Princess of birthdays, declaring that she has a “birthday week”!! Looks like you are following in her footsteps!! We are so happy that you had an awesome birthday!!! Loved all the pictures!! Gramma looks happy in her picture…sure hope that she is healing quickly!! 🙂 Your blog stated that school is on the “winding down” status. We end June 25th, must be later than you do!?? Please give super big hugs to all the family!! Happy Birthday week!!! Love and hugs!! 🙂

  2. Those are some big candles! Cookie dough truffles sound so good, I could eat a dozen right now. I don’t know if I ever got your recipe on those. Ashley looks like a very happy birthday girl.
I love all the nails, they turned out pretty nice! I hope they last a while.
Glad to see she got some smothers from Gramma and Mo. I really like Great-Grandma’s sweater! 🙂

  3. It was so nice to see you and give you birthday smothers! The cookie dough truffle was DE-licious!! I think Mommy has them perfected now! (not that we wouldn’t be happy to taste-test the next batch to be sure)
Gizmo was very excited to see you, too. He jumped up on the ottoman where the presents were so he could be the next present and get your undivided attention!
I’m sorry that Kayla didn’t feel well enough to come over, too, and hope she feels better today. We missed her!
I don’t think Gramma could take more than one day of birthday celebrating after the last couple of years!! It must be fun to get presents 3 days in a row! 🙂
Next year you will be in the double-digits!! Yikes!! And Kayla will be a TEENAGER!! :-0
    Lots of love,
    Gramma xxxx
