We went to Great America today, in spite of the fact that it was barely 50 degrees and windy. So we bundled up, and we only stayed a few hours before coming home. Long enough to have the picnic lunch and for Ashley to ride most of the big coasters she has been wanting to ride for so long. Superman had technical issues today, so she did not get to ride that. And the new coaster, Goliath, won’t be open for at least a month (it’s not even done being built yet). Ashley rode Batman, X-Flight, and Raging Bull. Here is the video of her first ever Raging Bull ride. Both girls had ski masks on due to the cold.
We’ll go back when it is warmer so that she can ride things again.
YAY, Ashley!! You finally got to do the big coasters! Kayla, you looked very calm and cool on Raging Bull!
I’m glad you had fun in spite of the cold.
Lots of love,
Gramma xxxx
Good morning from the East Coast!! We can sympathize with the cold weather!! What fun Ashley!!!! Your first coaster ride!! Woo Hoo!!! Good plan, going back when it is warm…if ever. 🙁 Actually, I went to cousin Mikey’s baseball game…it was a rare 70 degrees!! Had flip flops and capris….by the end of the game, it was 54 degrees with wind…I froze!!! It is 42 degrees now…with sun!! Soon we will be too warm…can’t wait!! Hugs and love!! 🙂
I will always remember waiting almost four hours to ride the original X coaster at Magic Mountain. It was an incredible ride, I wanted to go ten more times. Nothing wastes your day like long lines!
It is always such a treat to be able to go get on rides when the general public can’t. I am sorry the weather wasn’t nice to you, but I am glad you got to still have fun.
I haven’t been on a coaster now for so many years, but I felt like I was riding with you. I can see you smiling even with the ski mask on!
