Year 2 – Week 9 – Day 3

I am so tired so this will be short and sweet! I didn’t take many pictures. I have a new problem! Any time Trevor hears the sound of my camera turning on, he comes charging because he wants to push the buttons. He discovered the button that turns the LCD screen on and off and it makes a loud shutter click. He loves it.

I snapped a few pictures while the boys were distracted with the TV.

I made a big pillow out of some fun monster fabric. It is supposed to be to help Brendan do his therapies, but Trevor seems to have claimed it for TV viewing.

Trevor had a good day today. He ate good meals and played and spent a lot of time with Daddy. Other than a persistent fever, there is no other sign of illness. Brendan has no fever. Tonight we have a nurse but tomorrow night we are on our own. I am going to try to get some extra sleep now!

Year 2 – Week 9 – Day 2

I don’t have new pictures for the blog tonight! Brendan had a decent day, he even spent some time in the office-room with Bill. It is nice to get him out of his corner of the living room and I think he really enjoyed himself. He sat in his bouncy seat while Bill worked so that Trevor and I could get groceries.
He is outgrowing his baby bouncy chair, so he is having to learn how to use the big one!

Trevor was very tired when we got home from the store. I tried to put him down for a nap but he was restless and very hot. I took his temperature and it was 102.7! Another thermometer said 103.5! Wouldn’t it figure this stuff always happens on a Friday. It was early enough that I called the pediatrician’s office. The doctor called me right back and said that there is a virus going around now and they have had lots of fever calls. We are supposed to push fluids, give tylenol and/or ibuprofen, and watch for any other symptoms. If he gets worse, we will have to go to an urgent care or ER. If he is not better by Monday, the doc will see him in the office.

Tylenol and a bath helped and he was feeling better this evening. He loves playing with one of his new Christmas toys. He is a bulldozer train.

Since this is a short post, I will upload the cuteness of their holiday photo shoot! We took these pictures a few weeks ago for our cards, but I couldn’t use them all.

And of course, there can’t be a photo shoot without outtakes! I sometimes like these better than the “good” ones!

Year 2 – Week 9 – Day 1

It was just a day, not that I can keep track of what day it is, they all kind of run together. Brendan’s physical therapist had a cancellation today so Brendan got his makeup session for the one he will miss next week. He did a great job in therapy, he is starting to make good progress again and is doing better on his tummy. After the 1st of the year, he will move to weekly PT sessions instead of every other week.

It was oxygen refill day, that is how I know it was a Thursday. We had to move some furniture around, so Trevor got to play with an ottoman in the middle of his play area. He makes a really cute Trevor-in-the-box.

He decides he likes his toybox better!

The boys did some reading together today.

Aunt Jennifer dropped by tonight. She rocked Brendan for a while and played with crazy, crabby Trevor. He was so crabby today, he even cried while video chatting with Gramma and Aunt Shannon.
He really is having trouble with his teething pain, we just have to keep him chewing on ice cubes and cold washcloths.

It is 9pm and I haven’t made any dinner! Good night!
