Year 2 – Week 8 – Day 7

No better way to wrap up a week than a day running around feeling like you are forgetting everything you need to do. It seemed like a simple day and yet there is a task list a mile long and I didn’t have time for any of it.

So I have just a few quick pictures, I almost went through the day without taking any!

Trevor is cutting his upper right canine tooth now and it bothered him a lot today. So it is back to ice and cold biter toys.

Brendan had a good day, I made him work on tummy time and rolling and standing. He was tired at the end of the day, he just lie on the floor and watched some Yo Gabba Gabba.

We have a new nurse coming tonight, we have never met her and know very little about her so we are a bit nervous. The chaos continues.

Year 2 – Week 8 – Day 6

I don’t even have the time to go in to all of the chaos that abounded today. We were supposed to have a couple of easy in-home appointments and it turned in to a whole day of waiting on people, people rescheduling, coming and going, and people not showing up. It irks me to no end when you sit and wait on someone and it keeps you from getting things done you would otherwise be doing.
No call, no show and I could have had lots of errands done if I wasn’t sitting at home waiting for the doorbell! If it wasn’t the door, it was the phone. We are in a tsunami of nursing changes this week but we have it figured out for tonight. One day at a time.

The boys were oblivious to all the chaos today. At least it wasn’t about Brendan’s health. Brendan actually did a great job today with his therapy exercises and tummy time. He likes sitting on his new table.

He is learning to bear weight on his legs, and gets a little stronger every day!

He gets a lot of playtime with Trevor now. It is so good to see them doing things together!

I was just making up a number the other day when I mentioned Trevor’s 45 minute nap stunt. But then today he made it a reality. In the entire day, he only napped about 45 minutes. He was just very wound up. Getting in to trouble nonstop today!

I decided that since he likes the neighbor’s house so much, the weather has been mild, and I wanted to get out, I took Trevor to the Christmas light show at the zoo! We went early so we were there right when it opened at 6PM and he was home in bed before 8PM. He LOVED it!!

I had to take him in the whale stroller! We got funny looks with the front folded down, but Trevor was very comfy!

His little hands were cool but he wouldn’t keep anything on them. He had to have them free for pointing!

He was tired but stayed awake for the whole trip!

Trevor liked watching the carousel.

The car ride home was it, this baby was so super sound asleep!

I am pooped too! More about chaos tomorrow, I am going to bed!

Year 2 – Week 8 – Day 5

Not much to say about today, the boys were good.

Trevor and I went to Toys R Us this morning and spent up a big store credit we had. We got a ton of cool new stuff! The place was awfully busy for a Monday morning, I guess it is that time of year. Trevor was thrilled to go all over the store, he was in baby paradise looking at all the toys and “testing” different things to see what would be the best to buy. He picked some things that he was sure Brendan would like! We had two giant bags of loot!

Trevor has to sort his toy box and make room for the new stuff! But the corn popper has to stay!

Having a little snack from his “spill proof bowl”. He is in that corner because it is where he can see the dogs, not because he was naughty…this time!

Caught on camera!

Attack and try to confiscate the evidence!

One of the new toys is this xylophone piano. They have played with it all day!

Trevor thinks Brendan is a blockhead

Successful pacifier theft!

Trevor’s one nap day went well today and he went to bed super easy. Brendan had a pretty good day too. Hopefully tomorrow goes smoothly as well. We have some chaos brewing for the next few weeks and we all need to be well rested!
