Year 2 – Week 7 – Day 5

There is so much to post today. Brendan was feeling much better so we decided to do the photo shoot that I have been putting off for a long time of Brendan in his “graduation” gear.

First, here are a couple pictures from this morning. The moment Trevor was set in to the pack n play, Brendan snatched his paci!

Ninja Brendan is quick and he dares Trevor to try to take it back from him.

Later, Trevor decides he really wants to visit Brendan in his crib. He will get there all by himself if you don’t watch him!

Here’s the cutest of the cute from the photo shoot today. Brendan’s hat says “C.H.I.E.F. 2012 Grad”, CHIEF stands for “Complex Congenital Heart Infant Evaluation and Follow-Up Program”.

No photo shoot would be complete without outtakes!! I have laughed so hard tonight while getting these photos ready.

Trevor likes to go upside-down, so Gramma was holding him. He wasn’t ready for the Brendan attack!

Then Brendan wasn’t ready for the Trevor attack.

“It’s OK, Trevor”

Trevor just wanted to feel the fuzzy fleece blanket they were sitting on, he didn’t want to sit still!

Trevor has Brendan’s feet!

Brendan isn’t sure what to think of the hat and tassel!

I absolutely love this photo, so full of “get this over with!” attitude!

“Bro, that hat does not fit your big head!”

Trevor would not wear it, no way!

These boys are so photogenic, I love their smiles!

Year 2 – Week 7 – Day 4

I am just jumping straight to all of the cute pictures today:

We got more custom ornaments from Gramma and Grampa so the little tiny Charlie Brown Christmas tree we had was not going to cut it this year. Gramma went out and got a little 4ft pre-lit tree that we could put up on the counter in the living room safely out of Trevor reach. He did help decorate it.

He likes his Trevor snowman that jingles

Trevor was fascinated by the automatic bubble blowing Santa.

We put on some Christmas music, got the tree all decorated, and we finally made our turkey dinner. It is like a combined Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration turkey. The house smelled great today!

Brendan had a roller coaster day, some really silly good times and some really challenging rough spells. He takes great pictures during the good times.

“Mom, someone pulled on my glow toe and now it is broken. I think it was Trevor!”

Trevor has an alibi, getting in to the suction machine and chewing on his favorite mega-blocks truck driver dude.

Turkey dinner was awesome. Trevor loves Gramma’s stuffing. We only had turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. The rest of the trimmings are just overflow! I gave Trevor a turkey leg bone to chew on when he was done eating.

You can see Gramma working in the kitchen in the background. She worked hard today and made an especially good dinner while wrangling Trevor.

Brendan got a chance with the turkey bones too but was not impressed. He was playing games with Dad and “standing” out of his bouncy seat.

Until he decided to be a little noodle like his brother does when you want him to stand

These are super funny ornaments with the boys printed pictures in them. We got a good laugh out of them, they are so weird and cute at the same time!

Here is our finished little countertop tree

It was nice to have a little bit of holiday today, and now we have leftovers! There is turkey stock cooking on the stove top now for soup!

Year 2 – Week 7 – Day 3

The boys had a silly, spazz filled morning and Brendan did OK with withdrawal. Then it was an absolutely-no-nap-afternoon for either baby. Trevor was wound up like a little crazy person, it was turbo-Trevor like someone gave him espresso in his milk. Brendan would have no part of napping if Trevor was awake.

Last night after the boys were in bed, I finished sewing the arm covers for the glider project. This makes this project 99% complete, I just have to add little ties to keep the arms from sliding forward and it is DONE. Nothing like year and a half old projects getting finished.

Trevor LOVED the new puffier armrests. I cut a faux down pillow in half and wrapped it over the original armrests so they are nice and soft, plus the covers are fleece. He squealed and hugged them and patted them and put his head down, it was pretty hilarious. He didn’t do as much for the camera of course.

The toybox antics continued! We just couldn’t get the camera fast enough for the entry this time.

Trevor was all about squeezing in to small spaces and kept trying to get under the toolbox or behind the chair. So I pulled out a toy that was a birthday gift. He just wasn’t interested back then. It took a little coaxing to get him to go in at first, but then he loved it!

Brendan enjoyed watching Trevor play in the tunnel

Trevor says, “Come on in!” Brendan says, “I’ll pass.”

But then he fell for the hype…

…and was disappointed.

Trevor woke up tonight with his left arm sound asleep and must have had terrible pins and needles. He was pretty upset! It passed quickly and a little bottle helped him get back to sleep.

Brendan woke up at ten with a horrible spell of gagging, coughing, spitting up, restlessness and he is still up as I write this. Hopefully he will settle down and get some sleep soon. This should be the peak day of his withdrawal from his last adjustment, we expected a tough night.
