Year 2 – Week 22 – Day 5

I am keeping it simple tonight, just a few photos. We are trying to recover from a very busy weekend.

We just recently discovered Peek-a-blocks and I think they are the coolest. I had never heard of them until I saw them on ebay.

Little Monkey See – Monkey Do. He always sees Trevor walking around with his water hanging out of his mouth.

Camera Ham!

Brendan’s way of using the Chomp n Clack

We got outdoor baby jail returned to its rightful place so that we can use it for PT and OT again tomorrow, that worked well.

Busy Tuesday up ahead!

Year 2 – Week 22 – Day 4

I feel like lately these days have enough to fill 3 or 4 blog posts. I take too many pictures! This was a big day and it started with something a little fishy going on…

Trevor just watched things start to unfold

Toylandia has been swallowed by The Nothing!

Trevor gets sent to front patio baby jail!

“Hey, what is he doing out here?”

Wow, he is doing his best “please save me” puppy face

Out comes the crooked, old, weird-sized, non-insulating doors! In goes the fancy, high efficiency, dual-pane, standard sized, mini-blinds-between-the glass doors. It has been a 6yr project getting all of the windows and doors in the house upgraded bit by bit.

In addition to grocery shopping this morning, I took Trevor out to Target to get away from the noise of construction. Brendan handled it pretty well as long as Bill was with him. Trevor took some of his hard earned garage sale money and picked out a new remote control car for babies. I don’t know who liked it more, the boys or the daddy.

Brendan was in full hysterics chasing Trevor chasing the car. He laughed so hard he almost fell over. He liked chasing it too.

When I went to make dinner and feed Trevor, somebody crawled himself over to watch what was going on!

He likes the dog!

Eins likes babies behind bars!

Trevor loves spicy taco meat and makes a giant mess feeding himself sweet potato puree. Good thing we have moved his bath time to the evening.

Like Trevor would say.. “taadaaaa”. Now we just have to repaint the living room wall. I have to think about what color to make it. The paint on it now is a multi-stage faux finish and we don’t have the paints to patch it. We might have to live with it like this for a while!

The only other interesting news to report is that Brendan had an accidental decannulation (removal of trach tube). He has been pulling at it on purpose and I expect that we will have a lot of fun putting it back in all the time soon.
But this happened while he was sleeping. He was tossing and turning and getting caught up in his tubing and it just pulled it wrong and the tube popped out. I woke up to the sound of strange crying at 5am! His nurse got it put back in place quickly and he went back to sleep.
It is one of those things that we knew was coming. He is going to be a bigger and bigger stinker as he gets more active and stronger!

Year 2 – Week 22 – Day 3

So, our big plans for the day may not be so exciting to everyone else, but it was for us! We had a garage sale! Bill and I woke up at 5am so that we could get it all set up before the boys were awake (They both slept until 7!).
We owe a HUGE thank you to George, Christine, Johnathon, and Jonah too. It wouldn’t have been possible without all the help.
We did not get the traffic we hoped for, turns out we had a ton of “competition” out there on this gorgeous day. We ended up taking a whole truck bed full of stuff to Goodwill at the end. But the end goal of cleaning out the house of excess STUFF was accomplished, we got some sun and had a good time.

Foreman Trevor supervises the crew while he eats his lunch

“It is a tough job, but someone has to do it”

“You are selling my bouncy chair!”

There goes my little monkey

Trevor ate a great big lunch so well but then he was a crab for dinner and made a huge mess of it all.

I am training Trevor to make Brendan’s formula for the day. He is a good learner.

And now, for the unbridled silliness…

Trevor seems to love to lure Brendan to crawl. He waits for him and doesn’t even mind the hard smacks in the face.

It is signing time with messy Li’l T

The camera is all over the place on this but I had to post it. It is hard to hold it still and deal with a crazy Brendan!

Tomorrow is yet another big day, there will be power tools involved!
