Year 2 – Week 27 – Day 3

I only took a few pictures this morning while we were playing outside. Bill spent the majority of the day working on the addition (it is coming along so well!) I had the two crazies all to myself. We did not have a nurse last night but that is getting easier to manage. Brendan was not sick this time! I was able to sleep on the couch near his crib and he slept through until about 6am. I had to wake up about once an hour to suction/care for things but it was OK.

Brendan got to enjoy the baby pool empty. It is funny how exciting the same old toys can be when you put them in a new environment. Trevor was showing off his whistling skills.

Brendan often acts like he can not overcome some obstacles (he wants to be picked up or helped). But when he is motivated, he can get anywhere he wants to be.

One day he will be able to blow the whistles too

Trevor likes to hide in this corner and smear up the window with fingerprints.

Brendan has to help. They are worse than the dogs!

Year 2 – Week 27 – Day 2

I tell myself that I am going to just do a short blog and not try to get so many pictures in a day. But then the day is just full of so many reasons to pick up the camera, it just happens and next thing I know, I am trying to pick out only the best ones.

For speech therapy today, Brendan decided that he would play with and eat food as long as he could have a bubble wand instead of a spoon.

It got over 90 degrees today so we had to have some water fun!

Brendan can’t go in the water, but he can sit on the side and splash if he wants to. And he can just look adorable wearing swimming trunks.

The water got cold fast and in the shade, the breeze was chilly so the pool didn’t last long.

I had to wrap a baby up in a monkey towel

Monkey escaping!

Trevor shared a snack with his little frog friend Hopkins. (Every green frog in this house is named Hopkins because of Baby Signing Time)

He even took Hopkins for a ride in the dustpan

Brendan is clapping because he knows he will make everyone else clap too

This is almost a five minute montage, but it was all too cute, I couldn’t pick what to leave out. Especially the hyper crazies at the end, just try not to laugh!

Year 2 – Week 27 – Day 1 – Post 2

There already is a regular blog post for today, be sure to scroll back and not miss the cuteness. This is the second post because I wanted to separate these photos, there are so many!!

I bought a few things that should help me with my “portrait” taking. I didn’t expect them to arrive but they showed up today. Because today was the half birthday, Bill and I set everything up and tried to take some pictures. I know I need to iron the backdrop!! I was playing with lighting and posing and experimenting in a hurried fashion.

So it is no surprise that I didn’t capture a single photo that I would consider a “keeper” as far as portraits go. But I know how everyone loves the outtakes, so here is your fill. Enjoy!
