Year 2 – Week 39 – Day 2

I didn’t get my camera out at all today. It was a good day, the boys did a lot of things that were adorable, as usual. I just did not capture it like I normally do. After all these months of blogging, I think a lazy day every now and then is good. 🙂

I got some inserts for my shoes and I have to be better about wearing them around the house. Going barefoot is the biggest part of the problem with the heel pain. I have to keep icing it and do some stretching too.

I have spent a good part of my “free time” the last few days working on a data backup plan, especially with the enormous amounts of digital photos we have spanning the last decade. I can’t imagine if it were all gone. Just trying to get it all organized is a monumental task! I have had so many computers and several cameras and it all is stored here, there, and everywhere.

Just so I don’t break the routine, I grabbed a couple of shots from the spy cams. I am so happy to have them back online!

Year 2 – Week 39 – Day 1

I have too many cute pictures today and my eyes are trying to close on me before I even start typing.

I did take Trevor to the gymnastics place this morning. No other moms from the group showed up though! Trevor still had a blast. The only trouble is that he has discovered the drinking fountains and now that is all he wants to do there! We got there early and it was good, the place hit maximum capacity and they were turning people away that were coming late.

When the session starts, all of the kids have to sit together and listen to the rules and do some stretches. Trevor and I sat back in the toddler area to listen.

We got the toddler area to ourselves for a few minutes

Then we ventured in to the main gym

I love that when he passed by the small boom box playing music, he had to stop and dance

Trevor took a pretty nice nap after all that! Brendan says “All I get to do is sit in this highchair again”

He always has his brother for entertainment

Tonight Brendan was practicing his standing. Leaning against the couch facing out takes a new found confidence and stability.

That is why you have to deploy the tough guy face

He loves to try to walk

After Trevor went to bed, Bill wanted to do something fun with Brendan (to try to wear him out). This tricycle has been sitting in a box since December when Bill earned it through his work rewards system. It whispered every day that it wanted to be assembled! Brendan helped!

I think it is still just a hair too big for them

He is trying to reach the pedals!

They will at least love the bell part for now, and the tricycle will just have to be stored a while longer. I am rolling my foot on a frozen water bottle, it is pretty angry with me.

Year 2 – Week 38 – Day 7

I am happy to say that we have our wireless network back. I got the new router set up while the boys napped. Then it took the rest of the day to remember all the different devices that needed to get updated to use it. I sure missed our network!
We were very busy, so I only took a few pictures during dinner!

Brendan says “Peas again?”

Trevor says, “Yeah, I know”

We gave Brendan sugar cubes to play with tonight. We figured he likes to build and stack, it might work. He did play with them and they started to crumble.

Trevor got to work on a really stretchy cheese stick

Several people have suggested that we try dumdum lollipops with Brendan. He promptly threw it on the floor whenever it was presented.
Trevor thought it was awesome though. He even says “pop pop” when I told him it was a lollipop

And this is what happens to a lollipop that has been licked and then thrown on the floor.

If my heel isn’t acting up, I am planning to take Trevor to gymnastics again tomorrow with the mom group. I have been having trouble with plantar fasciitis in my right foot. Today it was especially bad, not sure what I did to it this time.
