Trevor and I went back to “Tammy’s House” this morning for more swimming. It was a perfect day for it and he had such a good time that he napped for more than 3hrs! He was resistant to swimming lessons today, he did not want to try to float on his back. He did a great job paddling and jumping in and even went under water with me and did fine.
He also got his first bee sting today. I didn’t even realize what happened, he just jumped in to the pool and said “I got an owie”. I thought he scraped his knee or something, he didn’t make a big deal. I didn’t see the sting until I was getting him dressed. He had a pretty ugly bump and a big red circle right on his lower back but it went down quickly and now there is just a little bump.

Trevor hasn’t met a cat up close in person before until now. Tammy’s cat Maverick is cute and friendly.

With monsoon season at hand and the increased camping and travelling we have planned, I ordered the boys some rain gear. Their rubber rain boots arrived today. Brendan LOVED his. He stomped all around. I think the onesie-plus-shiny-black-rubber-boot look is a little silly but it was just a try-on. 😀 😀

I was unsure of size and quality since I ordered them online, but I was impressed. I think this video proves that they will work out just fine.

We had a big monsoon storm last night and got a good amount of rain, so not only was it a “cool” 95, but it was wet and muddy outside! The boys are all about mud.

I had to get the red tub and give them a bath outside before they could come in the house, they were so muddy. I couldn’t do that and take pictures too!

Trevor cried because he didn’t want Brendan to take off his pirate towel. So it was Daddy to the rescue!

I don’t have a single picture of Brendan today! I can’t believe I let that go by, I have a bunch of Trevor’s fun morning. This is an outing that Brendan simply can’t do with his trach – swimming at Max & Tammy’s house!
If I thought Brendan would enjoy being there and doing something else, he could have come. But he is so focused on doing whatever he sees Trevor do, and he loves the water so he would have just wanted to be in the pool.

Trevor had a blast, he is such a water baby. He jumped in without fear, even after going under several times on jumps.
Tammy offered to give Trevor swimming lessons, so we will probably be going over there often this summer. He trusts her too, although he is a little intimidated by Max so far! Not sure why!

When we first walked in the house, Trevor exclaimed, “Wow! Look at all this STUFF!!” He doesn’t visit other people’s houses often so all the different furniture and decor was amazing. He proceeded to explore every corner, hall, and door and open every drawer.
After swimming, he found the vacuum and had to help.

Thanks, Max & Tammy, for having us over! Trevor asked no less than 20 times today if we could go back and swim again. Maybe next summer Tammy will be giving Brendan swimming lessons!
