Year 3 – Week 45 – Day 3

It was a terrible night for me, by the time 4:30am came around and I still hadn’t slept, Bill came out and took over. Brendan slept well but his oximeter was giving me fits. Just as I got that worked out and had barely put my head down on the pillow, Trevor opened his door and said, “What is going on in here?”. I got him back to sleep just in time to come out and see Brendan standing in bed. It didn’t take too much to get him sleeping when Trevor called me again.

The morning was rough, everyone was tired and lacking sufficient sleep. When the boys were finally playing nice, I stepped out of the playroom for some coffee. Within a minute, I hear, “Brendan, you are SQUISHING ME!!!!”

It was 112 degrees according to the car thermometer so we were trapped. In the evening, we went outside to wait for the ice cream truck and we had to use the sprinkler to stay cool. (The rash guard shirts are more for mosquitos than sun or rash!)

I don’t know if you will get tired of seeing these videos, but you will feel tired after watching this one!

The ice cream truck never showed, but the boys went to bed easily. I hope for sleep tonight.

Year 3 – Week 45 – Day 2

Brendan wanted to wake up Trevor this morning. But that didn’t go so well.

We had an opportunity to attend another HopeKids event this morning. We were able to get in to the Phoenix Children’s Museum to see if the boys were old enough to enjoy it yet. The girls scoped out this place last year when they visited, that seems like a lifetime ago! It was PACKED and noisy, and both boys were a bit overwhelmed, but they settled in and had some fun.

Trevor was fascinated by the random xylophones made out of bolts and wrenches. Both boys liked to play them.

And after allllllll that….two boys, no naps!!

I took them to Sam’s Club by myself in the afternoon in order to keep them busy and because we needed diapers. To make my life easier, I bribed them with frozen yogurt so that they would ride quietly in the cart. It worked.

Year 3 – Week 45 – Day 1

We had cabin fever and the temperature was less than three digits, so the boys got to go to the playground.

Brendan immediately climbed directly to the tallest slide in the place.
