Year 3 – Week 40 – Day 7

7 days! Ticking away!

I almost got to the end of the day empty handed. It was a busy day but totally unremarkable.

And then… Brendan asked to get out of the bathtub to sit on the potty. He was a cute pirate sitting there.

This proud boy made a big poop! Yay Brendan! It is funny, but I am starting to think Brendan might be potty trained before Trevor. Trevor is capable but unwilling. Brendan is willing and learning how to be capable.

I am sorry, Future Brendan, for the potty post, but at this moment in time it is pretty exciting around here.

Year 3 – Week 40 – Day 6

8 days – This is that window of time that is getting stressful. I have the itch to pack, but we can’t pack until closer to departure because we are still using all the clothes and equipment. Prepping continues but we are held back by timing.

Brendan has a new trick that he showed to his therapists this morning. He also has some new pajamas that he is modeling. Mary Alyn brought them from Montana, they say “Montana Bear Bottom” on the functional seat flap. 🙂

Sometimes he flips over so hard that he tumbles all the way to the ground, but I think Trevor is my natural “I went too fast” stunt man.

Year 3 – Week 40 – Day 5

9 days until departure! EEK!

Trevor upped the night game to a new level last night. At about 1:45am, he got out of his bed, opened his door, left his room, and walked into our room. He asked, “Where’s the fire?” He must have been dreaming! At least it only took 15 minutes to get him back to soundly sleeping in his own bed.

Trevor ran errands with me all morning. At bedtime, we recap the day with “What did Trevor Do Today?” time. Tonight, we talked about going to the hardware store, to the mall to buy a shirt, and a few other stops. He shook his head and sighed and said, “Maybe next time we can go IKEA first.”

Brendan had a good day. He has a new love for raspberry lemonade! I was worried he was going to get a tummy ache from the sour lemon, he drank so much! His new sound is “th” and he can say “the the the”. He is really making progress.

I only have a video for today. We think of poor Great-Grandma having to do her PT in bed, but I don’t think her PT’s are going to try this!
