Year 3 – Week 28 – Day 5

Today was so long and full that as I sat down to go through pictures, I had already forgotten everything that we did this morning. That is why I love this blog and make the time for it.
All of our days slip by, and more than half the time we are in a tired stupor. Reflecting on the special moments, the average, the simple, the hilarious, and the stressful.. it is awesome. I know years from now, I will cherish all of these photos of this week with family. I had so many to go through, it was tough to pick!

Kieran is still getting up at the break of dawn. He doesn’t get to come in to the house because his cousins are still sleeping. So this morning, we all went out front to let him try the trike ride that the boys love so much. He was a little skeptical at first!

Then he decided that he loved it, especially going fast!

Brendan is having some minor respiratory issues. Two vest treatments and and breathing treatment with some albuterol seemed to help him. He was acting fine and playing, oxygen needs were fine. He just sounded rattly and wet.

Trevor decided to take Kieran to IKEA this morning so that they could run around while Brendan dealt with his treatments. We didn’t take any pictures, but they had a good time and we got Trevor’s favorite lunch.
Those boys took an awesome nap. Not Brendan though – he skipped his. To be fair, the albuterol can do that to a kid. While Brendan played, Shannon raided my flannel stash and we cut and sewed almost 100 new cloth baby wipes in every color and pattern. You can’t visit here without it involving crafts or sewing at some point.

Tonight, we broke out one of the visitor favorites. The ball pit! We had to get a new pool because the other one had too many holes. The boys were ready but Brendan had the pump. We took it away to keep the other boys safe.

Brendan told us how he felt about that! We had to give it back.

Of course, my boys love the ball pit.

I have loved having Kieran here, he is quite an awesome little guy. The only downside is that having three little ones around makes it pretty much impossible to have adult conversation, so we have not been able to enjoy Shannon and Jon’s company as much as we would like. We are all totally wiped out!!!

Year 3 – Week 28 – Day 4

We initially planned to do a zoo trip today, but decided against it because everyone was exhausted and it was a very hot day. We hope we can fit the zoo in later this week.
Brendan broke his longest no-barf streak ever this morning. Ten days with no issues is a record I think. He is still doing very well on the new formula though, and his GI study will be next Tuesday.

We played inside games with three crazy boys

Peek-a-Trevor!
328t14

Trevor was a little rowdy and things were kind of hard to handle for a while, so I took Trevor to the grocery store. He was a perfect boy with me, and Kieran and Brendan had some more low-key play time. They really like each other.

This afternoon, we ventured outside for Kieran’s first sprinkler games. He immediately loved it!

We are trying to balance time zones and nap schedules and Kieran is one tired little guy! All three boys took good naps today but they are wiped out (so are all of the adults!!)

Year 3 – Week 28 – Day 3

It is going to take a few days to figure out how the routine is going to work with the little guys. Kieran woke up super early (4:30am!) thinking he was on East Coast time, ready to play. He then took a nice long nap from 9am to almost noon, just in time to have lunch with the boys and then they went for their naps.

This morning, Kieran tried to keep Brendan company while he had to be tied to his feeding pump for an hour.

Everybody had some tech time. We like how Kieran dressed to match the iGuys.
328bt10

Look what Brendan got bold enough to do while Kieran was napping. (Don’t let Kieran see this!)

I was trying to capture the size difference between Kieran and Trevor in a picture. It is cutest when they are really standing side by side.

Kieran loves playing with this cube
328t12

We did a lot of playing, just not much picture taking. The men left super early this morning for an offroad adventure at the lake, so it was just me and Shannon and the three little boys. We had our hands too full for cameras! It is a shame that it got up to 100 degrees today, it made the outing rough and limited our options at home too.

After dinner, we went out to see the ice cream truck. We must have missed it, we heard it in the neighborhood but it never passed by. Trevor had to decorate rocks instead.
328t13

Kieran was so overtired and wasn’t in the mood for the ice cream truck. He wanted to go to bed!! Of course, he might not have been tired… maybe it was the crabby shirt causing the trouble!!
328k11

He still takes a cute picture even when he is about to fall over.
328k12

They look like they are begging to go in, but they are trying to climb the door.
328bt11

We are hoping for good solid nights of sleep for everyone!
