I have to start today by saying that I hope anyone in the path of the super-storm is prepared and stays safe.
We had a much better day today. The boys woke up in much better moods and seem to be a lot more comfortable and back to themselves. Both of them still have boogery noses and extra goobers and drool but the worst is hopefully behind us.
Brendan slept this morning in the bouncy chair. Keeping him upright helps with the drainage.
By lunch time, the smiles were back full force
Trevor hated how much I had to wipe his nose today, but he still found a way to be silly
I am overflowing with relief to see Brendan feeling so much better.
He was well enough to sit in his throne and write some new songs. And as I write this, Barry Manilow’s “I Write The Songs” is going through my head and won’t leave.
We put in some new baby gates today. It expands baby jail and makes things more safe and easy. I wish we would have thought to do this before company was here, it would have been so much better. One goes in the kitchen door. Monkey pants shows us right away what he thinks about new gates.
Now Trevor can see the dog bowls but they are not accessible. The dogs like to come and tease him too!
Trevor seems happier with this configuration, and I am too! It is safer for the nurses and all of us. Now we will just see how long it takes Trevor to figure out how to open the gates!
