Year 3 – Week 4 – Day 4

Poor Trevor. Bill wanted to upgrade his bed border to a pool noodle instead of my towel roll. The noodle is a little thicker, but it is too slippery and it moves under the sheet too much. So at 4:15am, the camera sent me this series.

The solution? I took the flannel blankets and wrapped them around the pool noodle and then put it back under his sheet. I think that gives it the bulk, weight, and friction that is necessary to keep that kid in the bed!!
Tonight he is out cold!

We survived another Mommy-alone day and it went pretty well. We went outside while it was so nice. Brendan wanted to go knock on the door to get Daddy.

Trevor points his finger and yells at Brendan when he is getting in to trouble, it is super cute.
They know they are not supposed to go down the side of the house.

Brendan’s favorite thing today was the glitter wand

…and swinging of course

Mommy got her Christmas present from all the boys early!! It arrived in a giant box this morning and Bill put it together for me after work today. It was a lot of work to assemble, after dinner I was going to give it a quick spin around.
I decided to throw Trevor in real quick, but he was not dressed, so I just threw a blanket on him. (It was still 70+ degrees outside)

Brendan got a quick ride too!

Both boys loved it, signed “more” and “again” and then cried when we took them out of the seat.
Now we are so ready for people to put up Christmas lights, we will be doing some light tours!
It makes me want to get a second one for Bill so we can go out as a family.
I love the trike for riding with the boys. It is so much more stable, I can put oxygen and the suction machine in the basket and I don’t have to worry about trying to hold the bike upright and suction at the same time.
The front child seat is the coolest thing ever!! I L-O-V-E riding with them right there like that, and they are not in the way at all.
I am excited, tomorrow we will take a ride down the canal and see what all the construction trucks are up to lately. 🙂 Maybe we will hunt the garbage truck too!

Year 3 – Week 4 – Day 3

Other than meal planning and grocery shopping, I didn’t do anything on my to-do list today. I took a nap. My brain hurts! Just getting the boys through the day was the mission. I put a pot roast in the crock pot and tried to ignore the rest of everything else.

Trevor only wants food off of my plate now. He says “Back away from my pot roast!” Although when he says it, it kind of sounds like “pop boots”

The dog keeps getting bolder

This army guy became a utensil for eating potatoes

When we saw these “snowball” lights at IKEA, I knew the boys would love them. They look like bubbles. We had to go get them and Bill put them up for us today. They will hang on either side of our tree when we put it up. I was right, the boys love them. Who cares if it is a little early for lights?! 🙂

Brendan thinks they are cool

After Trevor was in bed, Bill was trying to get Brendan’s crazies out so he could go to sleep

I can’t wait to go to bed!

Year 3 – Week 4 – Day 2

Big news of the day… I got my laptop back!!! I am super stoked for a number of reasons. First, it went to Memphis, TN, got repaired, and was sent back for me to pick up today. Two days! Second, they replaced the logic board and magsafe board, and decided to cover it with my AppleCare plan! Free repair! WHEW!! Third, they happened to notice a couple sticky keys and a trackpad that did not meet diagnostic standards. Replaced! Cool! I am happy with Apple today! I love my little macbook and I am so glad to have it back.

Next up, we have a nurse going on leave for a month. We tried to interview someone new today but it was not great. I stress so much about this whole process. I am truly tired of the ever changing parade of people that I have to welcome in to my home. It is wrong when I am scared to decline a candidate for fear that the next one they send will be scarier. Just when we finally get comfortable with someone, it is time to change again.

Here’s a series of spider-boy pictures just for Gramma.

And some spycam fun…
