Year 3 – Week 4 – Day 1

The rolled up blanket worked pretty well last night. There were no captured falls from bed. There were some funny sleeping positions. 🙂

There was a little of something else going on

Brendan had a good day. He quietly plays with his iGuy while he gets his vest treatment. We are trying to get him used to 30min a day wearing the vest so that if he gets sick, it won’t be scary.

Trevor had a crazy afternoon running errands with Bill. They got to go to Wendy’s and enjoy free a Jr Frosty, go to the toy store, and then a stop for some groceries and a trip to the pharmacy. Busy boys! When they got home, there was a belated birthday package waiting for the boys to open.

Trevor knows just what to do

As soon as he saw the box, Trevor started saying “Scissors! Cut! Open! Car wash! Car WASH!!” (It does have a car wash in it) It was crazy to assemble, but they played with it for hours tonight. Thanks, Rachel!

They liked the box too

Year 3 – Week 3 – Day 7

Poor Trevor had three instances of rolling out of the bed last night. He handled it very well, but we have to do something. Tonight, I tried putting a thick rolled up blanket under the fitted sheet on the edge of his mattress. Maybe just feeling the edge will help keep him in bed!!

My day began with a trip to the Apple store to drop off my laptop for service. Trevor got his first experience with the mall. We did a couple laps while we waited for the store to open.

He impressed lots of people with how he sat so nicely and played with iPads while I took care of the service. My laptop should be on its way to a service center now, in a few days I should have answers.

This afternoon, the boys had a little craft project to do.

“Better take a big drink for this one”

“What? You didn’t know I was ambidextrous?”

Trevor says, “Oh yeah, try four markers!”

Tada! Trevor shows off his creation!

“Peek!” Brendan’s artwork is ready too!

Aaaaaaaand…..HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY, GRANDDADDY!!!

(Trevor has to peek in the ‘O’ too!)

They won’t say “Happy Birthday” themselves, but they will sing. (loud obnoxious singing follows, check your volume!)

We hope Granddaddy had a great birthday!

Year 3 – Week 3 – Day 6

Adventures in the big boy bed continue and so far, Trevor is doing a great job. I love that the baby spy cam has a feature that will email me pictures any time that it detects large motion. (It is after all, a security camera). It captured this photo of Trevor falling out of bed at about 2:30 this morning.

Good thing the mattress was there on the floor! I heard him cry out with a startle, but he didn’t start to cry. He just climbed back in to bed and went back to sleep!

He likes to live on the edge

Trevor has a great imagination. He was lining these pompoms up in the door track and then pushing them along and saying “All aboard!!!”

Of course throwing poms everywhere was exciting too!

Trevor had his first taco of his own tonight, and he ate the whole thing! He wants whatever is on my plate now. He wants me to eat what is in his bowl.

Brendan had a good day too. You could say that Mommy puts Brendan on a pedestal, but then he gets there all by himself

I asked Bill to take some more Brendan pictures while I gave Trevor a bath tonight. Brendan obviously is on a double pedestal in Daddy’s eyes!!

Brendan did not do daredevil stunts all night, just some walking and pushing his scooter

Brendan was in bed by 9:30p instead of 10:30p tonight. He is a stinker about going to bed!!
