Tons of things were accomplished today. Trevor and I raked and bagged leaves to try to wear him out. Trouble is, all of the increased activity that I have been trying to do with him lately has not really led to him sleeping more or better. It has increased his appetite significantly though! He eats a LOT now!
He did take a decent nap, long enough for me to finish the border and paint the window casing in the playroom. The painting is ALMOST done! I have just one weird wall to fix and it will be ready for carpet!
Brendan ate apple, pear, sweet potato blend today and did a great job! Almost a whole pouch! But the biggest thing that happened today was that the last pieces of Trevor’s new twin bed arrived. It is a good thing I happened to check the tracking number, because FedEx left my boxes at the wrong house. AGAIN. I got the bedding through the wash and then it was time for the switch.
The last picture of Trevor in his crib bed this morning

He was trying to somersault out

The mattress was delivered in a box. It is a nice individally wrapped inner coil mattress with a euro top and it was ULTRA vacuum compressed and rolled in to the box. The boys came to check out the mattress sausage.

They were so excited when Bill cut the wrapping and the whole thing began to decompress and expand with a hisssss. When it was all expanded, Trevor clapped and said, “Again!”

He was pretty excited about his new sheets and pillow

He is reading his Trucks book in his trucks bed to his Gizmozes. (That is the plural of Gizmo, according to Trevor)

He always tells me that he “Needs Brendan’s Gizmo”. That’s why there are two in his bed.

The side rail that we bought to keep him from falling out had a major problem. A defective piece prevented it from being put together. Since we had already built the bed, Bill cut and welded the bars on the rail to make it work. It is probably much stronger this way anyway.
I hope we can lose the side rail soon, but since this bed is higher, we will let him get used to his space first. The rail folds down and tucks under the mattress when you don’t need it.

Trevor went to bed without any complaints. He was a little disoriented but seemed really comfortable. His mattress is so nice, I wanted to nap on it!
We will have to move the camera up now, but I am glad to see him sleeping very soundly.

Here’s a quick video of the conversion
