We did some shopping today. Trevor and I ran around looking for shoes for Brendan. I ended up getting them each a pair of good sandals. We put gas in the car and Trevor insisted we get a car wash too.
Trevor has become fascinated with the lawn mower and the idea of putting gas in machinery. He figured out how to open the gas cap on the real mower and then told Bill that it was out of gas. He tries to find hoses or tubes and put them in to give it a “refill”.
To help redirect this interest to something safer, we stopped and picked up some lawn mowers. I had to get two in order to avoid the battle that would surely arise. Brendan liked the one that has the poppers like his corn popper.

Trevor was in LOVE with the one that made bubbles

You have to go pretty fast to make the bubbles, but this was no problem for Trevor

Brendan pushed his mower around, but Trevor must have done 150 back-and-forths across the lawn

Brendan is trying out his new shoes. They are very similar to his old sandals, just a much better quality.

Trevor is thrilled to help “put gas” in Brendan’s mower. The little gas can is cute.

I wish I had this much enthusiasm for mowing
He mows off in to the sunset, leaving his trail of bubbles behind him. After dinner, we had to go outside again for another 50 laps.

And sometimes when the moon is full, you can still here the sounds of that rotary motor and the faint pop…pop…pop
