Year 3 – Week 24 – Day 3

We are all super tired at the end of a long day! The normal grocery shopping trips this morning were complicated by a very emotional Trevor. He got so bad that I had to put him in his bed for a nap at 10:30am. He must not have gotten much sleep last night.

Brendan woke up smiley after a good night of sleep and had some Funyuns for breakfast.

The good thing that came out of taking an early “nap” is that Trevor could come with me to the airport to pick up Gramma at 1:30pm. We parked, rode the SkyTrain, went in to the terminal and surprised her at the security exit. It was a huge adventure for him, he loved it.

Brendan would have been overwhelmed I think, but he will get to go soon enough.

Every Sunday for the past month or so, the ice cream truck has been rolling through our neighborhood around 6PM. So this week, we waited out front to see it. Trevor is showing Gramma how he listens.

Son, be a dentist.

It has been a bit crazy since Gramma got here and I didn’t get pictures of her with the boys today. We will have to remedy that tomorrow (after sleep for everyone!!)

Year 3 – Week 24 – Day 2

It started out as a normal day. Brendan had one of the best nights ever. He slept like a rock the whole night, alarms were almost nonexistent. I still couldn’t get much sleep, but he was awesome!

The boys were just playing trucks and from outside there was a “crash!!!”

A little gust, hardly more than a breeze, is all it took to knock over the street light out in front of our house!

As to the cause, hypotheses vary. Neighbor weed-whacking too aggressively? Neighborhood dog is actually a disguised alien with acid for pee? Robot beavers? It seemed totally random.

It made for an interesting afternoon though. Trevor liked the police lights and the “fixer guy truck”

As much as he noted the events in the street, he was totally absorbed in digging in the dirt. He even declined a trip to IKEA and said “Mommy go IKEA without you. Trevor dig in dirt.”

Tomorrow is Gramma day! It is hard to believe that it has been nearly six months since she was able to visit last. We are all very excited for her to escape the snow and come be where it is going to hit 90’s next week!

Year 3 – Week 24 – Day 1

Since our nurse swapped some shifts around and worked Monday, we had nobody today. I was busy and just didn’t have time to fumble with the camera.

Brendan had a really bad 30 minute period last night where he was seemingly in a lot of pain, but it passed and he had a really excellent night of sleep. He had a wonderful, no-barf day today too!
He wore his cap for several outdoor adventures.

Trevor was off today. He had no appetite and was a bit lazy compared to his usual self. He plopped on a pillow and sat through an entire movie (Toy Story is his new favorite). He took a good nap and went to bed well.

The only picture I got today: Trevor thinks every package is for him. He gets excited about opening boxes. It is often just medical supplies though, this time it was some truck parts.
